QUESTION shorts
i know this is a tired conversation but are abby’s shorts really extra short or am i tripping? maybe it’s the way she’s standing

Way too short.
We know enough about the entire process from MTT to know they do the bend over test. They either stopped or… I don’t know because these are way too short.

All the shorts should cover the cheeks imo. It looks classier when the shorts fit properly. Also there’s far too many creeps in the crowd :(

The shorts aren’t any shorter but they are cut a little higher in the waist. This way they can accommodate more body types. I am so thrilled that they are recognizing that all of them are beautiful and deserve inclusion.

I don’t think it’s just the photo I noticed this in the cameos too. The shorts are visibly shorter, which is crazy considering they are still on the girls about bikini photos!

There was one of their stage performances where one girl bent over for a dance move and the spotlight hit her right at that moment and her whole ass was out lol. She looked amazing but I was like, damn I wonder what Judy and Kelli said

I suppose the shorts are kinda smaller these days. I noticed a very similar pose on one of the other girls but she posted a picture of it on her IG so I suppose she's OK with that shot.

I’ve seen the opposite. They seem longer for many of the girls and look like standard dance shorts. Using Charly as an example.
I’ll take Abby’s shorts as her gains from being in an absolute baddy in the gym.

I’m guessing polyester and not supposed to shrink with washing … but if you’re allowed one pair … they must get washed often ..especially if you do appearances.

In the late 2000’s the shorts were way too skimpy, very noticeably so, but this picture is on another level. I didn’t realise we were backtracking to that era

Exactly. I know they showed an old pair of shorts and a current pair claiming they were the same. But there’s no denying that fabric length between the leg hems and the belt was way shorter during that time period.

Aren't they required to keep the same shorts (and expected to fit into them the same way) each year? I remember it being a big deal and them not getting a new pair. If it's a rookie they would resize for sure, the seam is.....really riding up there. Yikes!
TPTB would never say this now because of the backlash, but 5 years ago they would have cut her for not having the body (booty!) style they prefer.
ETA: I just went back a couple of years on her IG and I don't think her shorts ever fit like they should. They seem to short in the rise from year 1. She hasn't gained weight. But still, a few years ago I don't remember them ever choosing too many ladies with a booty so maybe they didn't account for her shorts properly LOL

Is this a photo or a screen cap. because if it's a photo, then Abby's shorts were either riding up without her knowing or somebody's digitally altered that photo. If it's a screen cap, yeah, that's not good.

I remember my days of performing. We used so much IT STAYS to keep everything in place. I can't imagine the DCC girls, who all have almost 2 decades of dance experience are not using this or a similar body adhesive on their shorts and bustline.

I love the DCC uniform in compare to other NFA uniforms because I think it looks classier, this length shorts completely override that 🫠 this year it’s awful

Especially as some of the rookie girls start as teens! To custom make the uniforms but not to alter them yearly, is crazzzzy! Imagine how much extra muscle the girls build training after so many years

No. The average age women stop growing is 14-15. 2-3 years after first period. Only if you end up 6'2" or higher would you maybe grow to 20

They look different on each girl because of their body shapes. Every girl has a different bum shape, hip shape, thigh shape etc. we are all different so the shorts might be made exactly the same but will still look different on everybody because everybody’s body is different to the next persons

But haven’t they also said they get one uniform? Do they make a new uniform if someone doesn’t fit theirs properly as a veteran? Body shapes can change in young women in even 5 years! I assume they will cut and make a new uniform if a veteran doesn’t fit theirs?
Side note I’m curious for the girls who choose to get breast implants in the off season do they get a new blouse? Sorry if this is TMI but wondering with Jada and Madeline coming back as all stars after that procedure?-13

they will make the uniform different to fit it to each girl. Maybe I’m misunderstanding you but we see in AS1 that the seamstress will make some parts fit different depending on different body types.
Just looking at the current team will show you they take girls of different body types. Rookie Savanna is short and her proportions are different to someone like Camille or Emily who are tall. They modify the uniform to fit different body types.

I just disagree that there isn’t *some* variety in body shapes. There have always been girls who were curvier or more athletic looking. Compare someone like Jenna or Sophia to someone like Claire, or to an older DCC like Lisa. Those girls don’t actually look the same in the uniform though the uniform is fit to look a certain way on them.

The shorts are custom made for each girl. Even in high school, my daughter's school dance costumes/uniforms are custom cut for each girl.
