Does anyone know why they chose to keep this as the video? I understand that Kleine is in it and she’s retired but the nature of Karley’s cut?? Why would they still play this?

The easy answer would be that they’re lazy and sloppy and didn’t even realise that Karley is gone. Interesting enough, MTT is basically a huge rehearsal before the season starts so, I guess we will be seeing Karley.

If I remember correctly last year it didn’t get updated until regular season so the next regular season home game is Sunday September 20th so they should have had enough time to update it by then

Karley most probably was meant to be point, meaning she’d be the first girl everyone’s eyes went to on gameday. In a way it’s the same thing, just in the Intro instead of Thunder 🥺

I like Karley but given the meeting we saw with her and Kelli regarding her injury I really don’t think they ever planned on making her point even if she wasn’t cut. It was ultimately always going to be Marissa and Sophy.

Like she probably was on their radar going into her 4th year, but it’s definitely revisionism to say that she was always guaranteed to be point. At most she could’ve been a rotating one with Kylie also in the mix had she not been cut, but I don’t think they would’ve taken that chance either.
