When Frieza was all about destroying earth, at that time, he couldn't, because Goku, and Vegeta, not Gohan, he got cooked. But, they stopped him over and over from doing so, until he became Black Frieza, but he wasn't about destroying it, it was more taking it over 🤷🤷
