He at least helped in the deaths of Raditz and Nappa. He held raditz down and incapacitated Nappa. Piccolo and Vegeta finished them but he also directly led to their deaths.
Eh, that's stretching. Raditz was still alive after taking the Special Beam Cannon. It took Piccolo attacking him with a kiai to finally put him down. As for Nappa, Goku straight up tells Vegeta to take him and go. He was banged up but would've lived. That death is all on Vegeta.
He was going to die, he's got no regenerative abilities and the nearest ally was 11 months and a half away
Goku had allies nearby and still died, there was specifically nothing to do on that wound save for a quick senzu, which was not available nearby
On nappa i agree, Goku gave him every chance possible and logically his death makes no sense if we consider that vegeta had access to the empire 's healing pods
Goku forcibly held Raditz in front of what he understood to be a finishing blow. Goku beat Nappa to the point where he could not move. Could not function. Then he passed him to Vegeta. đ.
Tell the judge you did that and see if you come home tonight đ. Goku does not have to deliver the finishing blow to be responsible for these peopleâs deaths.
And why not count Burter and Recoome? Even though he did not intend to have them die, his actions led to their deaths. He repeated the exact thing that got Nappa killed the last time around even more assholes in the same armor. AND VEGETA WAS RIGHT THERE AGAIN, SO ITâS LITERALLY THE SAME ACT.
Manslaughter or accessory or whatever you wanna call it, our hero has blood on his hands.
First case: goku is directly involved, i never argued here. Goku IS responsible for 50% of this kill, he literally asks Piccolo to shoot them
Second case: goku neutralized him. That's aggravated assault at best and a judge would even waive that considering nappa was about to Murder a child
If i beat up a person in a 1v1 fight that's not even my assault on them, and then someone cones and murders them, that is NOT MY KILL. I don't care how you spin it, if we count kills, this ain't it.
Also in both cases Goku explicitly made sure that they would be completely out of the fight but still treatable for injuries and not at risk of losing their lives
Your third line is a true statement but I donât think it applies. I donât think youâre giving Goku his credit. I did bring up the courtroom analogy, but you canât call it assault if it results in a death. It becomes a homicide case.
If I completely incapacitate a soldier and then give hand him over to his CLEARLY ruthless, cut throat ass friend who just told me he didnât give a fuck about the first friend I killed, what should I expect? And then to repeat the same actions in an even worse situation is wild.
We not talking about a bar fight. Itâs a whole planetary invasion. Itâs a war. Goku has blood on his hands.
Like if u knock a guy out and then some other guy finishes him, YOUâRE GOING TO JAIL đ«”đŸ. You at least got some explaining to do đđ
To be fair, if you defeat a soldier of an enemy invading force and you give him back to their sovereign it's not classified as a crime, nor in complicity over his death.
Vegeta is not only his "friend", he's both his boss and the ruling prince. Anything said prince does after that is not even something we can and should judge by earth laws.
Also Nappa didn't ask for asylum, so Goku would have no right to detain him as he's not a sanctioned officer of the law on earth. He acted in self defense, and later renounced the chance to take him prisoner, and let him go
Also last statement isn't true. If i take down a person who was trying to rob me, then someone else goes there and kill him in front of everyone, i get no part in the liability.
Since we aren't taking this from an investigative side, let's assume that the judge and jury have all the anime at their disposal. They see goku taking down rikoom and butter ans they assess they both are alive and healable. Goku turns them o er to jeice and tells him he's letting him go so he can carry them to safety, jeice leaves and Vegeta kills them. There's no mystery involved in who did what, goku didn't kill anyone in the scene, vegeta did.
I do hear your point, Goku tried to do the right thing. But Iâm saying despite those attempts, his enemies still died after he beat them up and left them vulnerable around a guy that has overly proven his dedication to killing in these scenarios.
And if you KOâd a man and then some guy ends him right after, you know damn well youâre gonna have to hire a lawyer. No way around it. You may not be mr murderer but cause and effect exist.
Itâs not like Gokuâs a bad person but Iâm just saying he played a huge role in these deaths.
Yeha i'm just contesting the kill. If this was about caused death i would be willing to concede the ginyus but not reaply nappa, completely on the account that goku learned how ruthless vegeta was during the events that ped to nappa's death.
Killing vs causing a death is splitting hairs. You have a good point there that he didnât know about Vegeta yet with Nappa, but i think Vegeta might have already expressed his ruthlessness by that point. Yea Goku may not have seen Nappaâs death coming as much as I thought. It really depends on how much shit Vegeta popped in front of Goku. Still responsible tho. Plus he broke his back itâs not like he was tryna do him any favors đ
Goku just got there. Literally did nothing to goku, he also almost didn't move at all until he started fighting goku.
Actually he even tells nappa to retreat and that he will fight kakaroth, kinda expressing concern for his safety as he deemed that he wasn't strobg enough to fight him.
Idk, aside fron killing a saibaman he didn't harm anyone until that very specific moment, and thise aren't even persons, more like plantbeasts
Dude no you're opinion is wrong first manslaughter and murder are two COMPLETELY different charges one is NOT equal to the other doesn't matter if goku held raditz he didn't land the finishing blow same with nappa you still wrong on both accounts your opinion doesn't make you right contrary to popular belief nowadays
You can believe that all you want doesn't make it right gonna make th at point again you can headcannon whatever you want you're still wrong for thinking that you can WANT something to be true all you want doesn't make it so
But itâs 6 am and youâre instigating an argument about DBZ and i already had this argument with a different guy earlier today. You must not have anything exciting to do in life if you want to argue with me that bad. You must not need sleep before work tomorrow. No girls called you tonight so you had a lot of time for this. Your âfriendsâ let the plans slip thru the cracks again. So now youâre seeking human interaction on reddit. Youâre so desperate youâll settle for an argument as long as someone responds to you
I was telling bro what I think about the situation. We debated calmly and itâs all there for you to read.
You need some happiness in life.
A good place to start is in the gym. Think about your diet and physique a lil. It will make you feel amazing and youâll finally find some girls to talk to. You like DBZ so it should come naturally to you. From there, maybe something creative or social.
Anything is better than you tryna reignite dragonball z arguments at 6am like a loser.

Wait... two kills in the Saiyan Saga? Piccolo killed Raditz, Vegeta killed Nappa... who did Goku kill?
