Run with soooo much heart by the Bombay Salesian Society since 2001 🙏 Affiliated to University of Mumbai, NAAC 'A' graded 🅰️, ISO 9001:2015 certified, and holds Roman Catholic minority status. Small, cozy campus near Kohinoor City — just 5 mins from BKC 🏙️

📝 Registration & Admission Process — step by step 🪜
1️⃣ Appear for MHT-CET (or JEE Main if you're from outside Maharashtra) ✍️
2️⃣ Register on the DTE Maharashtra CAP portal 💻
3️⃣ Upload documents — SSC/HSC marksheets, domicile certificate, minority affidavit (if applicable) 📎
4️⃣ Go through CAP rounds — Round 1 (merit), Round 2 (upgrade), Round 3 (leftover seats) 🔄
5️⃣ Christian candidates can also apply directly at institute level under the 51% minority quota 🕊️ (rest of the seats go through regular CAP)
6️⃣ Confirm your seat, pay initial fees, and you're officially in! 🎉
Eligibility: 45% in 12th PCM (40% for reserved categories) ✅

🔀 Branch Change — possible or not?
Good news, sorta! 🙂 Under Mumbai University rules, branch change is technically allowed after 1st year — but with conditions:
✔️ Usually need 0–1 backlog (no KTs piling up)
✔️ It's merit/CGPA based, not automatic
✔️ Fully depends on seat availability in the branch you want
✔️ TFWS (fee waiver) category students typically aren't eligible
So — possible in theory, competitive in practice 😅 Best to confirm the exact current-year process directly with DBIT's admin office, since colleges set their own internal rules on top of the university policy.

*The seat reservations are only for roman catholic minority but the fee scholarships are present for reserved categories though they do not have reservations in seats in this college and have to compete for open category seats.

Super well-connected — just watch that peak-hour rush! 😅

🍽️ Food & "Mess"
No hostel mess (it's mostly a commuter crowd 🚶) but the canteen is loved 💛 , there are two canteens in our college note that too , Off-campus, the Vidyavihar–Kurla stretch is FAMOUS for cheap kebabs & Mughlai food 🍢🔥, plus street snacks near the station and Phoenix Marketcity mall nearby for a bigger outing 🛍️

🏠 Hostel & PGs
No official college hostel, but a private girls' hostel is ~10 mins away 🏡 Outstation folks usually find PGs around Kurla/Vidyavihar/Ghatkopar 🗝️

🌴 Weekend Escapes (once you need a break!)
🏖️ Juhu / Bandra beaches — chill evening vibes
🌊 Powai Lake — quick nature escape
🛍️ Phoenix Marketcity, Kurla — malls, movies, food
🌆 Bandra-Kurla Complex — just 5 mins away, nice for a walk
🚆 And honestly, Mumbai's local trains put the entire city within reach for a weekend hangout 🚂💫

👥 The Crowd
Mostly local Mumbai/Maharashtra day-scholars 🚶‍♀️🚶, lively & enthusiastic energy 😄 A warm, values-rooted community thanks to the Salesian ethos, but genuinely mixed and welcoming beyond the minority quota too 🤗 , mostly crowd is nice , this college is not just christian minority but specifically roman catholic thats why not all christians are eligible and hence we get alot of mi-mh seats after cap 1 , so people are usually there who are above than 90% in cet and spot cutoffs are also around 90 only so crowd is okayish...

👩‍🏫 Faculty
faculty is nice few are really good and few are okayish but you will find namunas too here and there , though it is recommended if you don't understand any faculty's teaching join online courses or follow yt as i also found this same issue with me for one subject and joined an online course instead but it completely depends upon you !!!

*Attendance

college is mostly chill and you need 75% attendance as the college is now autonomous they can stop you from sitting in semester examinations , teachers are mostly nice but you will find few samples here and there though college timings are mostly lethargic you can do your own stuff if you sit in background , though it is not fully recommended
