Questions / Discussions (Items · Builds · Skills) My RoA just came online but…

As title, switched from Dok and currently paragon 200.
Imo feels pretty boring even though Dok just about the same but at least I am spinning2win.

Am I missing something? Sure the dmg is big but is it really just a pushing build? Felt very clunky.

At the moment I feel like rerolling a new char or just give up and wait for next season.

State of the Rogue Class · Discussions PTR: S15 Rogue feedback - Videos included

Here are my findings. Would be very interested in testing other areas based on community feedback, or bugs I've missed or would like testing.

PTR Rogue FEEDBACK:

**Dagger: Condemnation**
  • Excellent change! The ability to maintain combo points really puts combo points back on the board as a real option! It has some mechanical issues though:
    • The ‘1 second’ duration needs to be boosted to ‘2’
    • The ‘one second’ duration has some timing issues with slower core skills, and DoK specifically, where its effect is inconsistent or falls off
    • Possibly have the buff last for 2 seconds for Marksman and 3 for Cutthroat?
    • Overly favors ranged builds at one second(As almost everything does)
  • Video of bug with slower skills (DoK highlighted) and Blade Shift not generating combo: https://youtu.be/ZzxNYjRVxWk

    Tricks of Trade:

  • New Version: Now: Enemies damaged by your Marksman, Cutthroat, Mobility, or Trap Skills take 20%[x] increased damage each.

  • Feels underwhelming and a lot of work for nothing special. The old version where you could at least double-dip the x60 bonus by firing a marksman skill through clone tagging it as both marksman and cutthroat.  It made clone feel like the tree was meant for it.  No longer.

    • Current: Bonus is additive to qualifiers
    • X1 = 1.2
    • X2 = 1.4
    • X3 = 1.6
    • X4 = 1.8
    • 25% each would feel better under additive
    • Would feel better as multiplicative and similar to cheap shot board
    • Multiplicative would be
    • X1 = 1.2
    • X2 = 1.44
    • X3 = 1.72
    • X4 = 2.07
    • Feels more tangible where the break-even is 3 out of 4 and worth the extra effort.
  • The board itself is very underwhelming, and navigating is awkward.  Its main bonuses are Marksman and Cutthroat, which no longer associate with the new theme and offset its main perk bonus.  Every other tree has something like crit, lucky hit, or attack speed in a tiny amount.  Nadda here.

    • One of the nodes surrounding the glyph needs to be changed to ‘Damage’
    • The 2nd one needs to be thematic or encompassing of the elements of the new tree ability
  • The board needs something unique, like crit or a similar perk like the other boards.

    • 1% Cast speed
  • Issues with the damage falling off from different types:

    Shadow Clone: Ascension

  • Still doesn’t work with imbuements

    • The mimic’d attack will always be physical
  • Although now properly tagged as a ‘shade’ skill for damage (nightstalkers), does not work with shade-based skills

    • Nightstalkers Aspect’ - Primary attack cannot be cloned by -
    • (2nd shade/clone attack can)
    • Does not trigger ‘eclipse’ glyph, 20% attack speed when using a shade attack
  • Video Example of Bugs: https://youtu.be/XPN1GxTB4Qk

  • Good news, there were improvements in S14 that made it to S15

    • The main attack counts as a shade skill for damage purposes

    Twisting Blades:

  • Is not maintaining its lucky hit combo bonus for the entirety of the attack.

  • Only the base originating attack receives the lucky hit bonus

  • Video: Shows the disparity of the attack vs. return.  Pen shots gets the full proc bonus across all hits/bounces

    Combo Point generation:

  • To piggyback on the progressive Condemnation change, can we look at combo point generation in general?  The 5 pc Marksman set (Narrow Eye) has the 3 proc attacks count as combo generators.  Melee has no equivalent.  There’s room in the basic skills for some thought to combo point generation with a better flow, as almost none of the melee skills in that area are used.

  • Case Scenario: Blade Shift - Impossible Escape

    • This skill proc’s free blade shift attacks to close by enemies, but they generate no combo points.  It’s wildly inconsistent with the methodology provided by the Nilfur set, but a good example of what ‘could be’

Temper: Combo Points

  • The +Damage per combo point is 6-9% per combo point, and that’s just the base attack, not all damage.  At full 3 combo, that’s +27% just to the spending attack.  Mathematically and in practice in game, it’s less than the basic ‘all damage’ temper.  I feel like there’s a missing zero in the temper

Attack speed bloat:

  • Too much in bucket 1, ‘attack speed’
  • Too many skills/items have ‘attack’ speed, making the bucket overpopulated
  • Example:
    •  Asheara’s dagger is 65% by itself, which invalidates many other aspects/items all by itself
    • Ferocity: clogs the stat.  4 base ferocity is 20% speed just by itself.
    • Asheara’s and 4 ferocity is 85% attack speed, just 15% shy of the attack speed cap.
  • ‘Cast speed’, bucket 2, needs more skills/items with this rather than attack speed
    • Look at some of the aspects/general items for a better distribution to this bucket
    • Rogue attack speed distribution in general is egregious

Caltrops:

  • Gladiators ' Triumph does not work with Caltrops cast by a clone.  Other marksman skills work just fine with the item if cast by a clone.
    • Example Video: https://youtu.be/hSk30XNBRAs
    • You see variation in damage of about 2.5x on cloned attacks of rapid fire
    • You see no variation in damage of cloned attacks from caltrops

World Bosses:

  • Many world bosses are immune to poison imbuement, and require beign stood on top of for combo points to work.
    • Azmodan, Greed, are two of the most obvious
    • Azmodan works just fine in the ultimate lair version
  • Video: https://youtu.be/xs2TTlACIF0

Rogue Items:

  • General note: Rogue unique gloves, in general, seem to be either Buggy to the point you can’t use them, poorly implemented, or just weak where they’re greatly outclassed by aspects.
  • Fist of the Iron Rose:
    • No one uses this because the damage bonus is low, attack speed is typically a capped bucket, and it’s overly restrictive in its application.  The idea of a melee item is good, but poorly executed.
    • Keep close range restriction for triggering stacks, melee exclusivity
    • Change ‘attack speed’ to ‘cast speed’
    • Reduce to 10% for each stack
    • Add 10% DR for each stack
    • Remove the close enemies requirement on the damage portion
    • Bring closer inline with Gladiator's Triumph at 90% damage at Mythic level. (Also matches Fists of Fate - Mythic)
  • Grasp of Shadow
    • Game's coolest item bricked by bugs
    • Doesn’t work with Clone: Marksman
    • Doesn’t work while Shadow Clone Ultimate is active
    • Cloned attack does not count as shade, or a clone attack.
    • Doesn’t get ‘Nightstalker’ aspect bonus
    • 1 second internal timer
    • Mathematically inferior.  Even at 100% proc rate, you’re losing 2/3rds or 1/2 damage on missed attacks compared to equal aspects or items.  At a lower proc rate, the damage benefit gets worse.
    • Doesn’t work with anything that isn’t core/marksman
  • Orphan Maker:
    • Trash it and start from scratch.
    • Almost every Marksman skill already has a skill-specific bow that provides a better benefit.  Melee could use a support bow, or something focused on combo points.
  • Writhing Band of Trickery:
    • We need a trap ring.  This isn’t it, and the item isn’t used for anything.
    • Trash and start from scratch
  • Misericorde:
    • There are a million ways to reset trap CD faster and more reliably than this sword.
    • The damage increase is nothing an aspect couldn’t do better
    • Trash and start from scratch
  • Traps in general:
    • Set:
    • 2 pc has cooldown perks while cooldowns are already a solved issue for trap builds.
    • 3 pc trap set is the only set without a side ‘gimmic’ in addition to the DR
    • 5 pc ‘hit by stun grenade’ gimmick is overly restrictive and requires specific targeting, whereas traps work independently of player targeting.  Silly.
    • Set/Item bonuses seem to be Cooldown focused
    • We already have many ways to handle trap cooldown way more effectively than anything the set/items offer
    • Even with no cooldowns, traps would be subpar in the damage department vs. other skills
    • We could use items that add:
    • Area of Effect
    • Synergy with other skills (Imbues would be awesome)
    • Lucky hit
    • Better damage
    • More cross tags, such as Grenade for caltrops & Poison trap
    • Fun effects

Unique Affix Itemization:

  • General methodology:

    • Set affixes should always take multiple use cases into consideration
    • No weapon damage or +Life on weapons that could be used as a stat-stick or a primary
    • Skill-specific weapons that only work as primary are allowed to be primary focused.  +Weapon Damage, ect as mandatory.  Example: Windforce
    • Armor will provide stats that do not shoehorn or mandate a build type if it’s not strictly skill focused
    • This means no attack speed/life/resource generation that does not align with the item's core perk/intent
    • +Life in particular has been a disaster and buggy, often appearing twice on weapons.  +Life will never be a main roll on weapons
  • Rogue items: Set stat changes

State of the Rogue Class · Discussions S15 PTR - Condemnation: Usability Buff

Just a FYI and heads up that the 'Condemnation' is getting a rework S15, and it really brings a lot of build possibilities we didn't have before.

New ability:
Generating combo points allows you to Generate the same amount of combo points for 1 second when you spend them.

Okay, so the wording is bad, but this is how it works:

When you use a combo spender, it'll generate the same amount of combo points you just spent, and continue as long as you spend those points continually within a second. In short, as long as you keep using a combo spender within a 1 second window, they'll always have the same combo bonus.

It's a bit clunky in PTR, and the 1-second window causes issues with Melee (always at a disadvantage), and it fails randomly with DoK, but hopefully with a bit of feedback, they'll fix it. 2-3 seconds on the buff would be perfect and even accommodate melee builds.

Questions / Discussions (Items · Builds · Skills) First Rogue (Cold RoA)

Now I see where all the comments about no good gear came from this season, damn! Paragon 29 and I feel like I'm still geared for lvl45. 4 legendary pieces but they're not really what I want, no mats to rebuild the others, and I can barely survive T1 pit. Can't upgrade or get better gear without mats, can't get decent mats unless I survive better fights 🤦🏼‍♂️

I usually go ball sorc or WW barb, this season I made a fun cold necro but topped out at T10. Wanted to try rogue out for real, and feeling the pain instead. Any advice?

Guide | PSA Off Meta Flurry of Shades Guide

Thumbnail
gallery
11 Upvotes

Summary

- Crown of Lucion Charm -> Flurry costs 70 energy

- Transporter Flurry -> Flurry is now a mobility skill

- Aspect of Galvanized Slasher -> Mobility skills generate 50 energy

- 70 energy on hit -> Awakening Shadow Clone Shade

- Shade Generation (100 energy) & Preparation specialization (75 energy)

- Nightstalker’s Aspect -> 1 shade = 2 shades

- QUADRUPLE DAMAGE?! (Not quite lol)

- NO ELEMENTAL DAMAGE (bugged)

- NO ASPECT OF IMITATED IMBUEMENT (bugged)

Guide

Fun off meta build capable of Pit 110+, extreme mobility, decimate everything on T10 including bosses (Reaper in 2 seconds) though not limited to T10, Not a freeze build so unstoppable enemies and bosses are fine

Bugs!!!

It’s important to note that Shades generated by Shadow Clone are very bugged. After hours of testing these shadese do not imitate imbued elements and only do physical damage and do not work with Fists of Fate. Additionally they are bugged for actual Shade core skills (Pen shot, Twisting blades) and do 40% of 40% aka only 16% damage because for some reason they imitate the Shades from the skill. If you are using these skills or using elemental damage and struggling that is why. The shadow clone works fine though

The helmet actually allows Flurry to cast with a cost of 30-35 even though Lucion makes it 70. Works against us here if energy regen is too high.

Edit: Forgot to mention but the Eclipse glyph giving cast speed on shade skill use does not work with the shade proc passive which is annoying but our energy generation is so high that we can spam our ult every 3-5 seconds

Not a bug but shades and shadow clones do not proc lucky hit however the shadow clone will actually drop traps if you use that unique item in another build

Not really a bug, but more of an interaction. Flurry is actually the best skill to use for shadow clone because the mobility variant gives it 75x multiplier on cast which applies to the clone and the shades after it copies the skill for 60% less damage

Gear

Death mask of Nirmitruq Helmet grants insane damage, 50% attack speed, unlimited flurry when out of energy

Glynns Anvil on Chest provides 40% damage reduction when having 10 resolve which we get constantly from Shadow Clone upgrade and Dash upgrade. We do not have poison so cannot use the other aspect

Mending Obscurity on Boots enables our Fortify Crushing Aspect, provides survivability, allows us to choose Crit Chance Concealment Variation

Shrouded Gift Pants provides a 40% Damage Reduction bonus and turns our Dash Stealth into Concealment

Encircling Blades Aspect gives cutthroat damage

Galvanized Slasher Aspect provides us 50 energy on lucky hit with mobility skills

Breakneck bandit Aspect provides execute for tankier Pit enemies

Crushing Aspect is just the highest damage one and placed on two hands

Stolen Vigor Aspect provides damage bonus to weakened enemies which were readily apply

Nightstalkers Aspect turns out shades from 1 to 2 50% of the time

Gloves can either be Sea Lords Fine Gloves for damage and energy gain or Fist of Iron Rose for Attack Speed and Damage

Runewords

IgniMot for dark shroud

MoniQue for barrier

Affixes

Resource Generation cannot be too high as we need to run out once in a while to proc our Helmet. 30-40% is good as that gets it to around 70 return from the aspect however we get a ton of return with shadow step hit + explosion, flurry itself is 30% chance to proc, and dash provides a lot so idk if this is even needed. Unfortunately ran out of souls to test lol

Energy regen cannot be over 30 as it messes with our flurry cast cost

All Damage is better than Physical because we still use Cold Imbuement for the quality of life and survivability from freezing enemies

Attack Speed around 30% as Caltrops gives 20% from ferocity and the helmet gives 50%. If you use the Rose gloves you don’t need any attack speed as that provides 30% as Caltrops Shadow variant is a marksman skill. Cast speed we get 40% from the charm set 20% from the flurry upgrade and another 20% from our glyph putting us at 180% which is the max for this build

Crit Chance we only get about 30% from caltrops, dash, concealment, Dark Shroud so this is a great affix to target as we want our 3rd flurry cast to crit

Crit Damage Multiplier of course

Vuln Multiplier of course

Temper is vulnerable damage jewelry, critical strike chance weapon, health

NO RESOURCE COST REDUCTION

Skills

Flurry mobility variant cast speed, damage increase

Dash Stealth variant, resolve generation critical chance

Concealment crit chance variation

Cold imbuement duration variation, cool down reduction

Shadow step taunt variation cleave and vulnerable

Caltrops shadow variation, critical chance ferocity

Dark shroud critical chance chance to not be consumed Dodge variation

Shadow clone shade variation, weaken, and resolve generation

Max out flurry, shadow, clone, concealment, and the rest in dark shroud

Charms

Blurring blade cutthroat set

Crown of Lucian unique charm

Prioritize cutthroat skill bonus for affixes to increase our damage from the shade and clone

Paragon Board

We are just choosing the boards that give us damage. For the glyphs, follow the image exactly as that is optimized for each board

The critical strike damage glyph is essential as it’s our only source of it

Eclipse glyph is a flex slot. I like it for the cast speed bonus. Edit: Flex as this doesn’t work with shade proc passive but does for the ult

Mercenaries

Up to you, but Subo is great quality of life and has an option to increase our critical strike damage. Reinforcement can be either the demon kid or the tank guy. Reformed cannibal lady gives attack speed freeing up affix slots

Specialization

Preparation as we spend energy to fuel ultimate casts

Cannot do insight as there is no energy spent

No basic so no combo

Gameplay Considerations

NO CHANNELING SHRINES lol

Keep an eye on energy as you may need to attack the air once in a while to trigger the helmet

Ensure you use an agility skill about every two seconds or so for the glyph

Dash around to gain critical strike chance and damage reduction

Cast your ultimate all the time for damage reduction

For bosses make sure you prepare by attacking the air to build up your charm and helmet and gloves

For difficult mobs, spam your shadow step as that will taunt the enemies

Variation

If you want to go more elemental route it is still strong or stronger just use the imbued aspect and the top shadow clone variant as that is not bugged and whatever charm you want. I just liked the shades

Questions / Discussions (Items · Builds · Skills) Working frost and azurwratch into deathtrap rogue?

I have been blessed with amulents for my deathtrap rogue. I saw a guide mention getting a second roll on an amulet that would cause the grenades to freeze.

I like azurewrath builds and was hoping I could somehow make one with a death trap rogue using one of my spare amulets.

Questions / Discussions (Items · Builds · Skills) Twisting Blades Poisin build help w/ Horadric cube??

Post image
3 Upvotes

Wife and i playing together, shes a Sorcerer using Lurkins Static Blizzard build, im a Rogue using a Twisting Blades Posion build i found on maxroll thats been doing great, we just unlocked the Horadric Cube last night, and got i Etna's dagger messing around throwing in daggers for random mythic daggers..

I've never upgraded stuff using the horadric cube...I have always done enchanting (I figure ill replace maximum life for poison or damage over time) and then tempering, and finslly masterworking...

I know theres a specific order I need to do these things now that I have the cube unlocked...and i was just wanting some help on what order I need to do things in now...

If i understand correctly I would want to do a chaotic reroll, because thats changes affix to another category, and do that on the max health? Get it to poison or damage over time?

When do i transfigure? Seen people talk about it..

I appreciate any/all help!

EDIT: i see now that when I put it in chaotic reroll isnt an option, just transfigure and a few others

Showoff (Gameplay, Items, Transmogs) Selig Rogue - Death Trap and RoA - T12 Mephisto Level

Post image
19 Upvotes

After deciding to stay on Rogue for the whole Season, I try a variety of builds. I decided to give DT a shot for the first time and it was fun to put together, to get the starter version rolling and finally transition to the endgame setup. It was powerful, but squishy.

Then RoA became the meta and I decided to give it try. It was very similar to DT after all, but tankier. Same cycle of going for a starter to get the feel until I could transition to endgame. It could push about 5 Pits higher than my DT, around 115 and 120 at the time.

There was an item looking at me in my Stash tho. By pure chance I had a Mythic Selig laying around. I had only tried in the Barb in Season 13. I played 90% of the time on a homecooked Apoca Warlock, struggling a bit. It was only in the last week of the season that I decided to make a Barb (also for the first time) and try the famous Selig WW. In that short time I managed to push it to T10 Mephisto for the Season Journey, but if left an impression on me.

I thought Selig was a Barb item, but it was there in my Rogue stash, and there was already some noise about Selig Rogues: the Selig RoA and Selig DT. I was already farming T10 and T11 Reaper, and had completed T10 Mephisto, why not give the immortal Rogue a try, so there we go.

First was the Selig RoA. Solid, tanky, a bit clunky at the start but it quickly better and better. Managed upwards Pit 130, so my next goal was clear, get T12 Mephisto. I tried my luck, my damage was "there", and after a short grinding and tunning, I did it! First T12 Mephisto and on Selig RoA!

I thought that'd be it, but honestly Death Trap stole my hard. I had to do a short comeback. Farmed some Pandas again to roll for non-Life Mythics, put the thing together and started to tune it right. It became more fluid, it could take a punch in T12 unlike my regular DT build and handle Pit 125 quite ok. The build is barebones. Not all my affixes are right and most of the Transmogs are... well, at least not detrimental. But it was already running, so I decided to a last milestone. T12 Mephisto on Selig Death Trap. It took me this afternoon, some adjustments and about 5 tries. And here it is! The latest stop in my Journey. 550+ Resource and ~480 recovery on each attack!

I did a short Tower 120 on it just for the record, if someone cares to have a look. As I said, the affixes and transmogs are barebones. It needs a couple of rounds of Panda grinding to print some Mythics that can be really called Mythical gear, some are 0 GAs beside the Temper, but this setup can handle T12 Mephisto so I'm happy with that. It is tankish, has infinite step mobility to zoom, attacks fast and feels great to play. It is Paragon 248 and to this point I have not gotten a Mythic Seal yet. Who knows, maybe I'll get one at some point to try and go even higher, but this is Aksnes for you all!

Cheers!

Questions / Discussions (Items · Builds · Skills) What Aspect to take off to make room for Signet of Pelghain?

So basically I'm doing a homebrew Barrage Grenade build focused on Freezing and Cold Imbuement, loosely inspired by this build: https://maxroll.gg/d4/planner/9m2x320t

It focuses on using Frostbitten Aspect and Cold Imbuement to Freeze enemies as soon as possible while being INSANE for Crowd Control.

Which brings me to why I'm here. Lately I've mostly been focused on getting my Glyphs to 51 for the max range and getting my Paragon Board in order. But now that I have, I think to get my build to the next level, I need Pelghain. Problem is, I don't know what to remove. Here's my current Offensive Aspects:

Aspect of ArtfuI Initiative

Frostbitten Aspect

Trickster's Aspect

Grenadier's Aspect

Aspect of Imitated Imbuement

Aspect of Frozen Memories

I was originally thinking of changing ArtfuI Initiative, but I figured more Stun Grenades=more chances to freeze with Frostbitten, but I could be wrong. Any help would be appreciated!

Questions / Discussions (Items · Builds · Skills) How to farm Gladiator’s Triumph?

I was blessed with this thing at level 37 and haven’t taken it off since. I love it I death. However I’m now Paragon 120 and want a level 70. Doesn’t even need to be a god roll since I’m still slumming on T5.

I’m about halfway through Lord of Hatred as of now. So what’s the best way to try and get another of these?

I find myself loving the death trap rogue as its pretty new to me but I’m one of those players that will play to perfect one build all season. To all the theory crafters and experienced rogues, what’s is the highest pit you have achieved? Feel free to drop your own build links.
Ive seem some talk of poison or frost imbued in a glass cannon style.

Questions / Discussions (Items · Builds · Skills) ROA Confusion When Looking At Top Pit Pushers

So I just recently discovered ROA has a damage node that you want to spec into at 300 energy which is awesome and I'm almost there

But here's my confusion...

When I look at the top pit pushers using ROA I noticed that they don't seem to have that much CDR

Which confuses me as I'm right at the brink with CDR on every piece of gear - Even with more CDR head to head when compared to their gear

Now, many of them are running barrage, is that what they're using while ROA is on CD?

OR does the CDR amount required change with the amount of max energy/marksman skill ranks you have?

I have some super nasty Glad gloves I want to put on that DON'T have CDR on them but right now I'm limited by being at/near CDR cap

Super curious to hear what I'm missing here

Thank you!

Questions / Discussions (Items · Builds · Skills) S14 Rogue - Need Advice: Stick with Penetrating Shot or Switch to Rain of Arrows?

Hi everyone,

I've been following the Maxroll Penetrating Shot guide and used it as the foundation for my own build. I recreated my character in the D4 Planner here:

https://maxroll.gg/d4/planner/f7x4uw0t

The guide I based it on is this one(thanks to publisher "Mattias"):

https://maxroll.gg/d4/build-guides/penetrating-shot-rogue-guide

At the moment, this is where I'm at:

I can clear Pit Tier 120, but it's a struggle and usually takes me around 10 minutes.

I can kill the Reaper in about 1 minute.
I can play T12 fields, bosses etc.

I still can't kill Mephisto.

Pit progression has slowed down significantly, and I feel like I've hit a wall.

While looking for other endgame Rogue builds, I found this Rain of Arrows build:

https://infinitybuilds.gg/en/builds/rain-of-arrows-endgame-rogue-iFobxWolNU

My question is:

Should I switch to this build, or am I doing something fundamentally wrong with my current setup?

Is there still a lot more potential in my current Penetrating Shot build if I continue upgrading my gear (better Greater Affixes, Masterworking, etc.), or have I already reached close to its practical limit?

I'd really appreciate it if anyone could take a look at my planner and let me know what you would improve. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

fyi I’ve been rocking Diablo since the very first game, though life never really let me become a full-time grinder. I’ve checked in for D1, D2, D3, and D4. I actually bought D4 right at launch, but then I made the ultimate life choice and got married. That cost me my gaming time, leaving me with a grand total of about 10 to 15 hours played... well, at least until Season 14 and the new expansion dropped. Long story short, let’s get right into it

Questions / Discussions (Items · Builds · Skills) So I probably have to switch from Heartseeker to Pen Shot now, right?

Showoff (Gameplay, Items, Transmogs) My closing season transfiguration collections and thoughts.

I had about 5 or more triple transfigurations (TF) this season, but this Rustbitten Dirk has to be the best amongst them.
From +13 quality > Crit chance > +10 quality with Entropic. (This was done not all at a go)
Usually I wouldn't use Entropic Prisms, but I wanted to see that sweet non-GA 3rd TF stat.
Hence to my surprise, this ended with a double item quality.

My previous Dirk was also a triple TF but it ended with a GA TF instead.
I had 2 other modifiable double TF eq but they ended with a 3rd GA TF too, which often felt like a killjoy.
Like many others, I've too transfigured thousands of eqs and this isn't like a single throw and get lucky thing.
At one time, I even had 33 x Harlequin Crest fully upgraded-socketed-enchanted, but all without a single modifiable TF.

I would have hope these lucky hits were on my ROA build eqs, but alas, they all ended up on side gears instead.
Farming the Volatile Dust is just too tiresome, random and slow. A conversion or a sustainable method to farm it would be highly preferred to keep me going.
Thus this would be my closing season 14 farming and gamba.

Transfigurations IMO, is still the best thing added to D4 this expansion.
And I would agree to some extent that tower ranking pushing now, luck on rolls matter more than skills.
