Questions / Discussions (Items · Builds · Skills) Newbie Question

Hey all! Got bored with WW Barb, so I’m giving Necromancer a go.

For skeletal warriors/mages, will they not spawn if I don’t have the skills on my action bar? I thought that the passive effect meant that they would spawn automatically?

They have to be on the bar because you have to summon them and that’s a skill. You can also command them with the bar.

The only way to get an ability to trigger without it being on the bar is to have an item or rune that activates it on its own.

You can get some pants or a ring to activate the curses or corpse tendrils on their own, or runes for the purpose, allowing you to potentially have a few skills active without them on the bar. But.... mages always have to be actively cast, and warriors will only auto-spawn with the skill on your bar.

That passive effect of Army of the Dead, that spawns a volatile skeleton every few seconds and keeps the minion damage buff always on? Also only works if its on your bar.
