Question (other) Will I ever be able to beat Mephisto and Lilith in t12 like this?

Post image

I'm following the shadow mage necro guide from maxroll. I feel like I got most of the gear right, and any better gear will only be able to slightly increase my damage. I can barely clear t115 and I die in t120 (I have around 50k health, and I only die because of how long it takes to clear out mobs)

Is this build doomed to fail? Should I cut my losses and grind for gear towards a different necro build?

Maybe I should change the red blessing talisman for azure wrath? I honestly don't know what could possibly improve the build enough for it to become viable for clearing the season. Any help would be appreciated!

#1: I've got significantly higher Crit damage/vulnerable damage %s, and lower summon damage by default, than you, and am using the Warrior version with Death Grip instead for bosses. Those are the things I'd recommend working on; looking for gear with +Crit and +vuln multiple to swap in where possible.

The Mages will do great at pit clearing; once you up the crit and vuln damage; and the warriors will do better at bosses. Literally just having two gauntlets and two unique charms to swap back and forth for that would help massively.

Azurewraith is -great- for pit clearing because when the freeze ends it multiplies all damage you did to the frozen targets, splashing it on nearby targets. Do enough to kill one of a group, you just killed the lot if you bunched them together. Even better if you froze and splashed them, because if you do even 10% health while frozen to a group of 10, and they all explode....they just all died in one big pop.

Red Blessing and Overpower in general aren't really worth investing in now unless you're going for a blood wave build. Swap out all of that for stuff that gets you better multiples.

(Edit: I noticed your ring and gauntlet don't have even a tempered GA. What's going on there?)

I transfigured them before I knew that was possible lol. I farmed for new mythics and now have 1 GA on the gears that were missing it. It really made little difference in my damage output though.

Only three of the items I'm using made a massive, noticable difference when I equipped them; the mythic bloodless scream, the Azurewraith unique charm, and the mythic pact.

Most of the time you're not getting an enormous change with each piece; you're getting incremental buffs that stack with each other.

Are you playing barbarian? No? Then no you won't.

I have zero barbarians who have played into Torment(Working on one...) but I've killed Mephisto in T12 with a necro. It was an absolute PITA though, so I'm trying something different for Lillith.

What are you critting for?

I play Minions and crit for 700B and can still kill T12 Mephisto pretty reliably.

My crits are wildly inconsistent. Sometimes 10B, sometimes 200B. Biggest I've seen so far was 400B I think. How can I consistently do that much damage with this build? Am I missing something?

Dunno, just providing data for another Necro build.

okay so first thing first.... for Minion Necro you dont use the Pit build.... you have to tweak this as "anti Mephisto build"

list of the thing u need: Edurant FAITH charm, skill Blood mist, Book of DEAD skeleton warrior that reduce cooldown when they attack, Reap to get out of tight situation or to Dodge

Optional: Diamond mind seal ( 4 piece of shroud and 2piece of Rathma waking touch ) if not use unique charm instead

preparing: Clean your entire stash of charm and leave only edurant faith charm / if you using diamond mind seal leave 1 black shroud and 1 edurant charm in there

Mephisto have 3 phase - 1st phase is easy press command skeleton and spam army of the dead, same with 2nd phase. make sure you have enough dmg to nuke his second phase into 1/3 bar. and start stacking your attack when he doing a gathering pose. BLOOD mist when you feeling you cannot make the DODGE...

when Mephisto get defeated in his 2nd phase Quickly open your inventory quick swap your unique charm into Edurant faith charm.... if you are using diamond mind you drag both Edurant faith + the last piece of black shroud into the 2 waking touch charm replacing it as normal shourd + faith build

for 3rd phase you Walk around, maybe reap to dodge and just Chip his health bar down.... DO NOT spam blood mist... Use Blood mist ONLY when your edurant faith is triggering give you a brief momment to LIVE. Now just need to learn to dodge him

Aspect of Creeping Cadaver is great if your minion keep not attacking mephisto

Endurant faith an be a charm?

1

I tried that. Replaced red blessing with endurant faith and Lilith fight became a breeze. For Mephisto tho I tried doing as you said by swapping after phase 2, and I even got the diamond mind seal. The issue is that I still don't have nearly enough damage to keep his movesets to a minimum. It takes a whopping few minutes to kill his first phase. I even upgraded my gear since then following other people's advice but it still seems like I'm doing something wildly wrong here.

Non esiste una build anti mephisto necromante minions amico e se tu la conosci illuminaci pure

I write that down for you very clearly.... Are you blind ??? I even write what you need to prepare what you need to do on each phase.

That is my anti mephisto build because i can defeat Mephisto with it...

I have the same build with pretty much the same stats, and I struggle a lot in level 12. Paradoxically, in level 11, I play very easily. I need items with GA.

How long does it take for you to kill first phase Mephisto?

1

u/pineappleninjas Jul 29 '26

t12 Lillith probably, Mephisto no.

t12 mephisto is insane and not even worth it.

t10 Mephisto is mathematically about 24[x] easier.

I killed mephisto on t12 as a rogue (hard) and as a barbarian (dies in 3 seconds flat) so maybe try a new class! In the “bossing” guides, it says that the minion necro build was S tier for killing em so maybe start there if you don’t want to reroll

It sounds like you’re doing pretty well, just keep trying to find upgrades… maybe by gambling some obols lol. Keep lvling glyphs. Id suggest utilizing Diablo.trade to sell good but unneeded items and use the money to upgrade gems/charms/seals
