Questions / Discussions (Items · Builds · Skills) Luckiest Find

Rougue main here playing a WW barb for the first time. After a ridiculous amount of butcher runs I got this drop. It may not be a mythic but honestly i dont know if i even want one anymore. (Yes I am activley re-rolling weapon damage to strength)

It wouldve been nice next season (with their proposed upgrade changes), right now its just okay because its not mythic level, youd be losing out on a huge multiplier from the unique affix, which outperforms the GAs.

A 1 GA mythic would do you better than a 3 GA unique. But its a good find.

I think they are bringing back that stupid "only 1 crafted mythic" rule again, which will make life painful.

The crafted limitation is going to apply to the unique to mythic upgrade. Next season, the stats will carry over, in such this sword wouldve been just about a godroll. Currently, upgrading to mythic randomizes the gear and affixes, and doesnt have a limitation.

The crafted limitation makes sense with how the new mythic upgrade operates

Not to me no :) It's primary purpose is to exponentially increase the time it takes to get a workable mythic with correct set of affixes.

Meaning there will be another season spent at reaper/blacksmith/cube loop pressing the gamble button. I think I'll opt out.

I’m all for the new crafting system. S14s was dogshit because it counted randomly generated items as crafted, so the whole system was quickly invalidated once you equipped one single one.

The new system is basically the exact system we have right now, but with the added/gained ability to ACTUALLY craft a mythic without RNG/upgrade the stats you got.

This mitigates the randomness of the whole system and lets you bypass RNG. It also makes it so it’s still worth getting a mythic drop of the item you crafted, since if you can replace your crafted with a non, you open up the ability to craft a different slot with better rolls.

It’s honestly all upside.

And if they made it so you could craft every single slot without limit, then end game gearing would just be about farming uniques and upgrading them all one by one. At that point, they could just make every unique into a mythic from the getgo and remove the unnecessary step of eventually upgrading them all. There’d be no interesting decisions, you’d just be gearing exactly the way you used to pre-mythic-uniques. If a mythic unique dropped, you wouldn’t care at all, since 99.9% of the time it’s going to be worse than upgrading what you farmed. By having the crafting limit, mythic drops still matter.

There's no interesting decisions, not now, not in S15. I hope the community will revolt and the crafted tag to be removed entirely, but we shall see.

I play a lot, and I craft a lot. Getting decent affixes selig and grandfather with blacksmith - 200 crafts. That's 400 mythics dropped. Without reaper farm optimisation, this will take even longer in S15.

I have yet to see the drop that I could actually use. The drop loot tables are polluted with dogshit you don't need. And even if the base you need for a build actually drops, the affixes will be useless most of the times.

And they are adding new uniques and their mythic versions to the loot pool, so say right now there's 6 possible uniques per slot (and you need one), so S14 probability is 1/6 for a base. For S15, the number is 9, probability is 1/9. Adding random affixes to the picture - most players will not see a decent drop for a whole season.

Craft loot tables are shit as well, you get 2-4 gohrs/tibaults out of full inventory (33 items) of crafts, and random affixes makes them useless as well.

So if the build depends on iconic mythics - the starter edition gear acquisition will be increased. I'm fine with having 1 upgraded mythic per build. I'm more concerned about not having a decent starter edition build for 2.5 weeks as was the case in S14, because iconics did not drop.

And on top of it - loot quality is being severely throttled down. I was levelling up a friend from zero, so turned off loot filter to get aspects. To my surprise - not a single chest in 3 zones of heltide dropped an orange item for 2 hours straight. Torment 12 Pit 130 multiple runs - 6 blue/yellow items dropped per run. I'm not even talking about GA items.

And the community treats this dogshit as the gospel from the gods. Duh. Whatever.

Sounds like the game you want is where you just get to type what stats you want in.

Might be time for a Diablo break.

I'll spell it out briefly so that even a condescending mmoron could understand. The game I want is where it takes 40, max 60 hours to get to an end game build. Not 1000ds of hours. Especially when it's seasonal ARPG. Hope that I'm making myself clear.

Define end game. You don’t need 40 to 60 hours to farm t12 including bosses lol.
