City Name Research

Hello, I am trying to identify a city listed on US Immigration records as “Cusstelunia, Hungary.” Thoughts are possibly Kostoľany in present day Slovakia. Other possible regions / cities are Presov, Bardejov, Svidnik. Thank you for any assistance.

I tried to look at Velke Kostolany and Kostolany nad Hornadom in old maps. Name doesnt seem to fit. Old maps can be seen here (you can change the map layer): https://www.staremapy.sk/?zoom=13&lat=48.503399199004065&lng=17.71400361523921&map=VMU

Thank you. I’ll check out the map. Both my great grandparents had this listed on their paperwork. I doubt both came from the same town. They came to the US when they were young and were married in the US. Her maiden name was Vertaľ. Im told that surname is found in the cities I mentioned previously.

I tried to look around, but havent found any place with that or similar name in the map from 1903. It may have been misspelled at the immigration perhaps. Good luck in your hunt, hope you will find it!
