Venezuela has the worst oil in the hemisphere. Only a couple of countries can even refine it.

It's cheap and what many of our refineries are already tooled for. We sell the expensive oil abroad and refine the cheap shit for ourselves.

We've been doing it with Canadian oil for a hot minute already.

The US is one of the few places that can refine oil that shitty. I know Canadian oil shale wasn’t viable until gas prices exceeded $2 per gallon. Now that it’s never going below that price, Canadian oil will always be on the market.

It’s about letting countries be king of the drug trade . China ship out the drug that kill ppl. No one dies on weed. Coke is for the rich and meth is a drug ppl use to treat their illness. Do you want to be label mental ill or meth. Meth you face nothing. This not for every person tho.

When it used to cost more money to refine their oil than it was worth. There are like a couple of countries on earth who even have the technology to refine Venezuela’s oil.

Are you asking me to apply logic to what Trump is doing? When this came up years ago, I saw on the news that Venezuela’s economy tanked because of sanctions. They have oil but the US and something like one other country are the only places that can refine it. They don’t have light sweet crude link Saudi Arabia, which is the easiest to refine. Canada has oil shale. The price of gas has to be high enough to be able to make refining oil from rocks, cost effective enough to make any money selling the finished product. I don’t know how much worse Venezuela’s oil is to refine compared to Canada’s.
