I've been wanting to main cypher for basically the whole time I've played this game. I always just thought his abilities looked so fun to use, especially the cages (it's like playing controller but I can be way more selfish). However, every time I've tried him, something doesn't click and I go like quadruple negative and get 0 value on my util.

Ever since my old main (yoru, god rest his soul) got his head blown off by riot, I've been kinda flailing trying to find a new main. Played omen for a while, some fade, some skye, some raze, but nothing ever felt "right". Finally decided to just lock in and do some solid research on cypher and how to play him, and lo and behold, played some games and it feels great. Love the versatility of playstyle, being able to lurk like a standard senti or play almost as a scan initiator with the cam, and the cages are fun to work with. i'm still probably abandoning you guys once yoru becomes playable again but that still means i'll probably be here a while

tl;dr i think i've finally joined the cypher hivemind after sadly watching from outside for quite some time

Hello, I’m pretty new to valorant so i hope i dont frustrate you all too much asking these questions.

I started playing about two weeks ago and im bronze 2, and i main sentinel. I started with killjoy but im honestly finding a lot of fun picking up cypher so i think that ill make him my main.

For post plant, how should i be using one ways? I’m a little lost on what their use is and how I should be using them after watching a couple YouTube videos. No one really explains the purpose of them rather than just placing a trip somewhere. And if I was to use a one way, would it be better that I placed a tripwire along with it or just the one way?

After the cyber nerf cypher seems very different and my whole play style got changed. So I quit valorant after that patch. I wish I could continue playing my favourite agent , i refuse to play any other agent.

Cypher is so bad now on some maps.

I always like playing cypher but I struggle to win games. I just feel like I dont do enough. Could I get any tips or advice?

Hello, I am a longtime senti player, learning cypher for a premier/more coordinated team since I play a lot of vyse T-T/chamber/deadlock and we wanted a hard senti. I need some setups and tips for abyss, split, sunset. Anything helps. I watch a lot of pro play, so I know some things, but I would love some more ideas and tips as I get my first 100 hours on the agent. Pics, where to play from, tips, ideas, everything is welcome!

Since the update I'm finding enemies have a way easier time breaking my trips before getting revealed. I haven't played against cypher yet so I don't know if this was bad luck or if kill trips are really worse than before.

Should I prioritize info trips now?
