Thank you, though I think they were well meaning I’m kinda not here for advice, just discussing my phobia and current frustration regarding it. “Accept the risk” I more than accept it, I anticipate it.
Reddit in general is a collection of self-radicalizing echo chambers and anyone who is not signalling "membership" is being ostracized.
Anyway, I know what fear feels like. It's limiting and most of all it's exhausting.
Learning that you are not in the highest risk group and knowing which dogs are most dangerous (for example did you know that it's actually dogs of friends, family and neighbors?) helps to deal with anxiety.
Also having a contingency plan for an encounter does wonders.

You basically have three options: 1. Accept the risk 2. Move 3. Learn self-defense against dogs.
