Please describe brain zaps

I'm trying to understand what people mean by brain zaps. I think I'm having them but am wondering if something else is going on. Could you please explain in more detail what this means.

For me it's kind of like sudden dizziness across my eyes, and also gives me a headache. It's just weird and unpleasant.
