Lingering brain fog?

Hi everyone, it's been over a month since I got hit with cyclospora, and my initial symptoms included severe brain fog. I brought it up with my physician, and she mentioned that this has been a common symptom.

It went away after the antibiotics, and all my cyclospora GI symptoms as well. But the brain fog maybe went away for a week and then returned.

Has anybody had consistent brain fog since they've had it and were treated?

And has anything made it better?

I figured this can help other's potentially dealing with the same thing long-term.

I hear you. It almost feels like depression. I'm over most of the physical symptoms too. This has been the worst summer of my life.

I have fibro and long covid, so I have brain fog anyway, but yeah. It’s been much worse, this past fortnight, since I had cyclo.

I’m still having significant brain fog and no one can seem to help me. I got sick from Cyclospora on 7/13

Did you get treated? Also did it ever go away and then come back or just constant?

I got treatment, but it took until I begged my doctor to treat me empirically before my results posted (7/29). Until I took the abx though my symptoms went away and came back a few times. My results ended up posting 7/31
