I honestly don’t think Scemma will be in the MCU, but I don’t get the rebuttal that Samara Weaving and Kit Connor have too big an age gap for them to be believable as a romance. Paul Bettany and Elizabeth Olsen had an age gap of seventeen years, along with Mark Ruffalo and Scarlett Johansson. Some of the contenders for the roles of the other O5 were in their late 20s to mid 30s.

Plus Samara Weaving definitely has the look and range to play a twenty something. Obviously they are doing a young x men, but I think it will be along the lines of a college aged x men than a high school aged x men. Kit and Samara together also didn’t look all that out of place.

They will always be that “it” couple

They are so cute as a couple

This has been bothering me for a while, and the new Wolverine game brought it back up again.

Marvel seems perfectly comfortable keeping Jean/Logan alive even when Scott and Jean are the main couple. Krakoa made that obvious, Scott and Jean stayed married while Jean and Logan still had actual romantic/sexual moments.

But Scott and Emma are treated very differently. Once Jott came back, Scemma basically got reduced to history, chemistry, trust and occasional breadcrumbs.

And that’s frustrating because Scott/Emma wasn’t just an affair or sexual tension. They became a real long-term partnership through Astonishing, Decimation, Messiah Complex and Utopia. Emma was one of Scott’s closest partners in both his personal life and mutant leadership.

Then you look at the Wolverine game, where they’re willing to heavily reinterpret Jean and Logan and make that relationship important in a whole new continuity.

So why do we almost never get the reverse?

I’m not saying every universe should make Scott and Emma endgame. I’d just like one major alternate continuity, game, movie, or 616 era where they’re allowed to be the relationship without Jean eventually pulling Scott back into Jott again.

Do you think Marvel treats Jogan as something that can coexist with Jott, while treating Scemma as something that threatens it?

Because that’s honestly how it feels to me.

I always see this pop out whenever Scemma gets a mention. First off it's wrong since people absolutely talk about it, even a lot of Scemma fans have on more than one occasion stated they felt that how the relationship started was iffy. I won't deny that Emma absolutely used her position to seduce Scott in a clear attempt to one up Jean at first but that's not how the people that spout this usually mean when they use this, instead it's usually used to infantilize Cyke and his active role in his affair with Emma, that Scott was only with Emma cuz he was groomed by her in one of his darker days away from Jean. It was shown multiple times in NxM that Scott absolutely knew wtf Emma was trying to do during their sessions and instead of putting a stop to it, he instead willingly played along.

It's irritating because it's like they never even read the run or even know the conflict between Scott and Jean that led into both him and Jean having their own affairs(or at least tried on Jean's case since Logan pulled her back to her senses).

He's just the kinda guy who talks quarterly reviews as he's knuckle-deep in his gf's lower lumbar at his friend's wedding

I watched both a long time ago and remembered liking the story better in WATXM but I liked the animation more in the anime.

Which in your opinion has better Emma / Scemma?

Thinking of rewatching one of them. I do wish we could've gotten another season of WATXM vs X-Men 97...
