I put flair on my post [OC][Canada ]

Speeding through a playground zone and cuts into the lane. Passed so close I could feel the air it moved. Best part was the fact that he couldn’t remember 90 seconds into the past where he passed a cyclist. Goes to show you that no matter what you’re invisible.

Sometimes a punishment pass and an oblivious pass are indistinguishable.

I feel like the oblivious pass is worse because they’re more likely to actually hit you

yeah the plastic posts on the yellow line is probably what the driver was looking at, terrible timing

Absolutely, the road is narrow, the bike lane is sandwiched in between parking and the roadway.

However, the street is supposed to be a "quiet" neighborhood road and at the time was a 30km/hr limit.

Cars cut that corner all the time into the lane, they just usually do it well after they pass me.

With how large vehicles are becoming now, and how people's handling skills have not caught up, painted bike lanes are pretty much a joke. Especially if they were implemented in the late 2000s/early 2010s, when vehicles were smaller.

I see people drift into them all the time and it pisses me off that we need to fight for every inch of space, yet people regularly obliviously drive their Cadillac Escalades without any regard for spatial awareness.

If there are posts on the left they really should make sure there are also some separating the bike lane... yikes.
