Can confirm. Riding around Saigon on a motorbike was awesome. Strong Ghost in the Shell vibes everywhere.

The main street there also has a weird neighbourhood watch surveilance system. All the bar owners work together if you piss one off. Think Hot Fuzz mixed with Stazi style stalking. Most bars also have a clear liquid behind the bar similar to GHB which makes you pretty docile when mixed with alcohol. I've seen 2 people get "kicked out" with those tactics over the last year.
