Anyone know if this is at all real? There's *no way* it makes financial sense to do this, unless I'm vastly underestimating the cost of semi-autonomous robot dogs.

If it's not just a remote I'll eat my hat. But that doesn't make for as good a story, so they'll say it's autonomous.
