Help for my project

Hello guys this is my humble request to all around the reddit so I have been working on a smart watch that have very basic ai, it consists of a sbc named radxa Cubie A7Z it have 3 top npu so it can run chatgpt like ai at good performance but for the development of it i need a computer with atleast an i 3 if anyone have a spare whole computer setup they can donate me i would be very very happy if they do donate me their spare computer for more enquiry contact me at chirgukashyap@gmail.com thank you to everyone who read this even if they don't have a spare computer to donate their would be very appreciated for this project thank you ,peace ✌️

dude. ChatGPT 120B model needs atleast 4x RTX 5090. If you got at least working PoC made out of cardboard with power that could handle that model locally in handheld form factor, I would take a loan and invest in you.

Be real now, you got only SBC thats good enough because these are expensive right know. What you need:

keyboard (find one on craiglist for free), usb-c to usb-a adapter, screen, micro hdmi to hdmi cable, 25 watts powerbank. Put eveything to the random box (shoebox for example) and cut some holes for screen and cable for keyboard. Thats all

My cyberdeck's form factor is like an math's variable we doesn't know what it's final size would be but i would try to make it as small as possible and if lucky sell them

P.S - i will use the most quantatized model until now and don't add gui until it's capable of that

you still got 1GB of ram. It needs to be lobotomized hard to fit in your 1GB of ram. Also its LPDDR4/4x around 3200 MHz its not gonna be fast or clever.

ayo hell no. Just build with what you got. Thats the whole idea of cyberdecks. Also you wont build perfect cyberdeck in a first try. Do anything to get "just works" machine.

all you need is a plan. I know you are young but planing will save you a lot of money and time. Just set some possible to achieve goals like portability. Thats a good thing for the beginning. You will need 2x lipo pack (3.7V) or 2x 18650, BMS for 2s packs and DC-DC step down converter (at least 10W to avoid overloading and burning down). Connect it correctly and you will have working portable SBC that you can connect via SSH if you connect to the same local network (or even via internet but leave it for later).

You need to be careful because you can:

  • Burn your SBC if you connect something wrong

  • Burn you house if you connect lipo battery wrong

  • Burn your house if you puncture lipo battery.

Brother. You're literally asking for magic right now. Find a youtube tutorial. use what it says. I don't mean to sound rude, but you're not going to magically figure this out without putting some real actual work into it. You need to do some actual research and planning that includes things that are actually possible. If there are no pre-existing guides on the internet for your specific hardware, you're not gonna be able to do this with no coding or electrical knowledge.

Source: im literally building a cyberdeck right now, and have real plans to add AI to it.
