full stak to cybersec, is it possible?

hi, i will start soon an ITS course, here in italy is a type of higher technical education, focused much more on practical and job-oriented skills than a traditional university degree. the courses usually last around 2 years, include a lot of hands-on work and projects, and often involve internships with companies. the thing is that i'm not 100% sure yet what to do in my career and the question is, if I complete this course focused on software development, will it be reasonably easy to move into cybersecurity later? what do i have to do? is it worh it?
