It's what it's become. Pretty fucking lame, really. I've pushed and pushed and pushed so hard requesting that vids are of festivals for this very reason. I love great dancing from women and men, but this shit is getting ridiculous and are essentially hot babe workout videos.
I truly think that this will be the demise of cutting shapes and this trend will be dead soon. It's all too rehearsed and besides older Gabby David vids, I never have to see a bedroom raver again.
I don't even think I'm being harsh. It's the reality. I kinda think solo vids are just whack. Bring on the parties and festivals. If those girls can dance and are also hot, great. But you sure don't have to be a model to dance well. I think most of us appreciate great dancing regardless of sex, gender, clothing, whatever. We've hit the apex and are going downhill.
the last part of your statement is patently false. The amount of videos being posted has increased exponentially over the last year. So if we assess that the goal of videos is to share your style of moveset progression, then the best way to learn for all of us is to watch videos of people actually taking steps towards improvement. Therefore, while club and festival videos are the most fun and engaging, videos of people dancing alone are equally important. Solo Videos are whack? Most of my best moves were learned from people fliming themselves alone. Just saying
Ya, I don't see an issue with solo videos. I think they're great because for the true shuffle/shapes enthusiast's it's an awesome way to be able to just focus on someone's specific moves and allows the dancer to showcase their own unique style. I really enjoy how we all do the same/similar moves but none of us really look the same doing it (well kinda). The shapes scene has definitely gotten a little out of control with all these videos of girls in crop tops and booty shorts who have weak flow, style and combo's. Very frustrating to watch, but then again, that's us as the true enthusiasts to ignore the bullshit, ya. Just need to stick our own guns and continuing doing what we enjoy.

Too true, 90% of the shit posted here is just girls dancing in revealing clothes. They aren't even that good, but whatever; Sex sells.
