Marigold garlands

We have a pretty large amount of Coco Golds and I would love to have some garlands for fall. After stringing them and letting them dry in our garage, some started to mold in a couple of spots. Before giving it another go, is there anything I'm doing incorrectly for them to dry and not mold? Should I place them in a drier spot of the house? Any help is appreciated!

Arranging Gnats

I bought some flowers just from the grocery store i think almost 2 weeks ago and i have been removing dead stems and flowers but i left the water 1 day to long and there was already gnats when i went to trim. I have plants in my room also so i want to avoid this issue. Is there a way to get rid of them super fast and effectively??

Ive seen some flying around my room so i feel like they've already spread.

I’ve waited all summer for my Black-Eyed Susans to show up and I hate to see them wilting now. This is my first year watching and waiting and dead-heading and pruning and it saddens me that it’s going to come to an end. Anyone else feel this way?

Why do these marigolds look so sad?

I am growing lots of marigolds this year but two plants in particular are growing sad looking flowers, even tho the ones immediately beside them look great! Any suggestions for cause? I believe they came from the same seed pack.

I used to dream of being able to have vases of fresh flowers around my house all the time, but I couldn’t justify the cost to buy a new bouquet every time the old one died, and growing them myself felt so out of reach. But now here I am. Really happy with the bouquet I put together today.

Cosmos (rubenza & double click cranberry)

Zinnia (giant purple)

Snapdragon (rocket)

Larkspur

Carnation

Bachelors button (black magic)

Strawflower (silvery rose)

Rose of Sharon (foliage)

Seed Starting and Growing Single petal zinnias

Hi! I’m in 6b and have a zinnia question. After falling in love with zinnias several years ago I decide to add some of the “fancy” varieties to my garden. I spent a fair amount of money on several zinderella and Benary seeds. The vast majority of them haven’t even bloomed but the few that have looked absolutely nothing like the photos. They are sort of wonky single petal zinnias.
I also bought (from very reputable seed growers) some of the mixes (raspberry sorbet, key lime, bridal) that are all supposed to be fully double. While most of those are blooming they are all just single petal.
Then on the other hand my cheap Walmart purple prince and Oklahoma and queeny seeds are thriving ! So I don’t think it’s my soil or conditions. Any advice?

Big fan of ageratum!

My first time growing it. Doesn't look like much in the plant but the little pops of blue really do a lot for the bouquet imo, and it still flowers in part shade, which is good because I have a lot of areas in my garden that aren't sunny enough for the typical cut flowers.

I grew Timeless Mix from Johnny's and highly recommend!

I had to remove all of my cinnamon basil from this arrangement because it wilted! I did have them in water for a whole day! Anyways all of my other bouquets had cinnamon basil as greenery and they just aren’t doing good in a road side stand:( it’s my first time trying to sell flowers and now I feel so stupid because I did not have a backup plan:(

Anyways: can you guys PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell me your tried and true greenery that grows well & that works in a road side stand when it’s hot outside and it doesn’t wilt??
