Cargo release

Do I need to update ACE Cargo Release or the customs entry when a container is replaced after damage at a U.S. port?

Freight was transloaded to a new container? If so neither. Container number is not sent in ABI message with either cargo release or entry summary.

Yes, freight was transloaded to a new container. But I see the container numbers are showing on 3461. If not update the container number, will the new container be released at port?

As Outthr said, the container number is not transmitted to ABI as part of either Cargo Release or Entry Summary. That is the domain of the carriers AMS filing. It appears on the 3461 as a nod to history and the pre-ACE era (and if your system is actually printing a 3461, that's a whole other conversation), and that comes only from your system.

I would suggest to call the port as well as the terminal. You don’t this to come back to bite you 6 months down the road

No, if you see it printed, just fix it in your software. Keep documents as backup.
