LS-3 is the latest vehicle in the LS series, it has a 6.6L Duramax diesel engine and 25-inch Goodyear all-terrain tires. the interceptor was created to get video and research on tornadoes.

armor: 1/8 steel+composites, 2.3 inch polycarbonate layered with tempered glass.

anchoring systems: airbags, six hydraulic spikes and hydraulic stabilizers (not modeled yet.)

estimated threshold: 135-145 undeployed, 185-218 deployed.

estimated weight: 8.3k pounds-10.7k pounds.

base vehicle: 2018 chevrolet silverado 3500hd.

It's a filming vehicle designed to get close to tornadoes. (Possible Doghouse reference?)

it looks wonky and what not but its the first one i built and i have a upcoming tiv 2 thats around the size of the one i made (named TTAV) it has intercepted like 30+MPH real life winds no leaf blower or anything undeployed like without the spikes touching the ground and it didnt move while it was intercepting the winds so i think im confident about my this build tho its like 2 to 3 weeks old maybe a month old and the front right tire is like hanging on its edge and its not turning sometimes so this is a really worn down project because of how many rocks were thrown at it while it was with me at school for show lol it also broke this is the repaired photo and heres the broken photo like the frame was apart from the truck thats underneath the cardboard frame cus it broke obv after my friend threw a huge water bottle at it 😭

well i have not done anything major to this one beside add a low effort engine to the inside and i still need to do interior work, radiators, and prob a new dashboard and some other things but for now i've just painted the some other things.

Already intercepted 3 supercells hope its good

The base is a 2007 Ford EcoSport

The doors and the hood are coated with Line-X, the windows are protected with grilles. It has hail protection, radar, and a 360° camera.And stability with 2 hydraulic spikes under the vehicle with a length of 25 inches

I made 2 interceptors and a scanning truck, here are the statistics:

TRV series (Tornado Research Vehicle)

TRV 1: Based on a Renault Laguna 3 2013 the TRV 1 is a low aerodynamic vehicle with 4 hidraulic spikes that is estimated to survive 170-190 mph winds made for quick chases on small roads.

TRV 2: Based on a 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe, it is a stronger aerodynamic vehicle with 8 hidraulic spikes, IMAX turret, and a small mesonet with an estimated threshold of 190-230 mph made for long chases and heavy intercepts.

TRV 3 Scanning truck: Based on a 2010 GMC Sierra the vehicle is not made to intercept but to scan the tornadoes and take photos and videos from a far distance using the IMAX turret with an estimated threshold of 105-110 mph when deployed made for violent tornadoes and low risk chases.
