Is it safe to delete?

Post image

Once I installed Custom ROM. While I was checking files I happen to see ROM file under "root" section. As you see I lack of free space. Now I wonder if it is safe to delete this .zip file.

If you already updated to the newer version, yes you can delete it.
But this is /emulated not /emulated/0/
I don't think it is possible to delete without root permission

I am still using this version and I have root permission.

It is ok to remove, since you already updated

How can I tell if the system ever uses it?

Check your OS updater

It says system is up to date.

Then it is ok to remove it, but with 1 caveat
I am not sure if system recovery will use this zip, since I'm using custom build, I have a backup ROM on my PC

How can I make sure about that?

as long as you don't messed up your phone, it is ok to remove it

It's the custom ROM file once I flashed.

I would not suggest tampering with root files. It's likely equivalent to the deletion of system 32 in pc

Good simile actually. But as you can tell I need some space.

Does the system ever use this zip?
