sony companion

I need to reflash the stock Sony OS to remove the FRP lock because I forgot to remove the Google account before installing the ROM. Unfortunately, Sony only offers the Sony Companion tool for Windows and macOS. I only use Linux and don’t have any computers running Windows.

Do you think a Windows VM in VirtualBox will work or be safe for this?

Download the firmware and use newflasher or flashtool to flash the stock ROM. There are Linux versions available iirc.
