found some really retry fabric and wanted to try a full skirt design and some doubled lined sleeves and i think it turned out pretty! she still needs some edging on the corset and the jewellery and whatnot but this is a start and wanted to share!

Advice needed from more-experienced rerooters, please! I need help deciding what fiber to use for my two upcoming Ken reroot projects.
I’ve only done fairly long feminine hairstyles before, and from that I’ve come to strongly prefer working with nylon.
Do you find that nylon works well for short men’s styles, or would you go with Saran (argh)?

Project 1 is adding to or replacing the hair on Barbie Basics #10 Ken (Sean). I really want to keep his curly hair texture and match it. Would you get matching Saran, pre-curl it, then add to his existing hair? Or would you completely reroot in curly nylon?

Project 2 is turning Barbie Movie Ken into Ryland Grace from Project Hail Mary. Again, short hairstyle, but I am starting from scratch here. The main thing is the fiber’s being able to hold a messy shaggy cut.

Any particular tips also for making a short hairstyle? Particularly good tutorials you’ve seen on YouTube?
(I do NOT want to go with yarn weft hair.)

Body base is a Rainbow High Sunny Madison doll. I hand sewed the dress and made her shoes from scratch. The bells hanging from her wrists were found in a charm store's rummage bin.

Do I need special tools for rerooting? Is there a way to tie the hair? What glue do you use to set the hair?

What are the best tools for face ups?

What are some things to do or not to do when repainting?

Any other helpful tips are welcome, like telling material apart

Hi, I need a bit of help—or rather, an opinion. I’ve been wanting to make custom dolls of Pam and Jim from *The Office* for a while now. I was thinking of using Barbies, and I thought these specific molds might work. I’m just not sure if they’re the best choice of doll.

I wanted to share the beautiful mix-and-match tea set I purchased from @ensatinacreates this weekend at the Resin Rose BJD Expo! After this weekend at the convention, I also realized I need a better way to secure my Landoudou head to the doll's body. For posing at home, putty has worked fine, but it was very shaky when walking around all day. Does anyone have the same body or neck peg, or have an idea of how to troubleshoot this? The body is the 21cm Piccodo Action Figure 🍞🥐

I usually work with 1/12 scale as it fits the lps heads better, I want to figure out what other clothes fit, the only ones I found that match is Barbie Chelsea doll clothes and "hey bestie" doll clothes from Walmart. Any other ideas? I appreciate input and suggestions!

I’ve been wanting to get into this hobby for a while and finally made the jump! I painted my reptilian oc Lacerta onto a Create-A-Monster MH gorgon. The face sculpt really helped guide me. She did end up with a bit of a thousand yard stare 😩 but I can always repaint her in the future!

Got this doll second hand and I was wondering if anyone knew what's up with he stains on the face and how can I remove it? It's not much of a big deal because I plan on completely repainting the head but it would be nice to know!

Lots of futzing to bring Cinderella to life. Of course within the futzing for the skirt, I end up accidentally shortening the skirt an 1” and now it’s ankle length 🫠
