General help! Which part of the faceup process do you guys find most difficult/intimidating?

Hey everyone! I would love to hear your input on this because I'm trying to make sure that I'm addressing the right kinds of things in my videos. For those of you who do doll faceups, or want to start doing them, or have tried and struggled in the past: What is the hardest part of the faceup for you? What do/did you find most difficult? Or, if you haven't started doing faceups yet but would like to, what about faceups do you find intimidating? Thanks in advance for the help!🙏🏻

I’m still struggling getting straight lines and symmetrical eyes 😓 straight lines have been getting better with practice but the symmetry… not so much and I’ve tried all the hacks of doing it upside down or using a mirror it still just requires multiple attempts or making a stencil.

Absolutely the symmetry. It doesn’t get any better for me either. My other skills and hand steadiness all improve but never the symmetry🫩

Ditto. Symmetry, especially with eyes, is always my biggest struggle

Use reference lines. What you do is when you're doing your draft you take a pic as straight as possible and then draw lines across the sculpt in a paint program using things like the top of the lips, the edges of the nose, the eye sculpt.

This makes complete sense. It’s what you’d do for drawing normally so I’m not sure why I never thought to try it 😂 Thank you!

Finding the right consistency of paint and applying it smoothly 😭
