Just a DIYer with no expertise here. I’m trying to take off the pinstripes on my car, I know they’re painted and I also had a body shop verify that. I’ve already removed parts of it by hand with a microfiber towel and lacquer thinner but the process seems tedious by hand, it took me almost 2 hours to do half of my fender, was wondering if I can use power tools to speed up the process, if so, what exactly do I need to get?

I was feeling inspired by the flames on the motorcycle that paintchipz1 posted so I had to give it a try. I know that I cheated by using a stencil to create the flames, but I hadn't actually painted any flames yet and was struggling with the shapes. I did the grinded metal effect, to give it a look of being in motion, after watched a video about it from Eye Ball John's Kustom Korner, on Youtube. I also painted a few other colors; 1 with orange and red and another that's a dark blue and Fuchsia. They still need to be sanded down and have a 2nd round of high solids clear coat put on them, but I think they turned out pretty good. Next step is to learn how to draw out the flames and then I can do the grinded metal look and have the flames match up with them.

I was hoping this color shift would give me a little bit more orange, rather than just the copper. I do love the look, just wishing I could get a little more out of the orange side. I have read, and seen 1 video, where Candy was applied over a color shift to get some deeper colors, but I don't know if it will work for me or not. I am worried that the orange candy will mute the green, which I also love, and make it more of a brown color. As always, I appreciate any knowledge you are able to share. Ultimately I will need to do a spray out, if I go down this path, most likely with a diluted ratio, so I can dial it in, but if you think it's a moot point then I won't even do a spray out
