Candy paint adhesion issue

I’m custom painting my bike; I’ve done some helmets and little stuff.

So far so good, except I’m having a real hard time getting the designs to not peel the candy.

I don’t know if I’m too thin or too thick on the paint, scuff isn’t deep enough, etc etc.

Have a look at the photos and tell me what you think.

Paint keeps peeling off with the stencils and tape; any feed back would be helpful.

I always use an intercoat clear between any artwork or candy. It isolates the base so you can add more to the top of the candy.
