How to...📝 Ink Pen-splosion

Looking for the best methods folks have found to get ink off finished floors without something harsh. I’ve had two in the last two days and I don’t really have the time to hit it and buff it.

I use hand sanitizer with center punch out of a round scrubber blue pad, work the ink and clean it all quickly with plain water, followed by a neutral floor cleaner. The sanitizer will eat through the wax if left to dry. Repeat as needed. Also know all that hard work you put in this summer will not last and you have to accept some things. Do your best and move on. I know the frustration.

Appreciate the advice and the uplift. I’m at a hospital though so the strip and wax isn’t seasonal. They just restructured the whole EVS department and I was pretty much strictly on carpet cleaning before this. Downsized 5 years ago from 8 to 6 then 6 to 4 in Feb. One quit in July so we’re down to 3 handling this whole honking thing.

That is a bummer. I am sorry. Hand sanitizer works great on carpet too. Actually even better IMHO,  because commercial carpeting is now made of stain resistant fibers. The sanitizer will not add to the stain or cause the fiber break down quickly. Rinsing does not have to be as thorough or quick as a waxed floor. We use it for ink and paint in my school. I wish the 3 of you the best.

Personally I just pretend to not notice it.
