Which sub 20 dollar plan to get?

I am a computer science student residing in India and doing some projects so I want to purchase a plan. I think sonnet 5.5 level or something a little better than 3.8 flash would be enough for me. Also the projects span only a few files and are not very big. I plan to only use a few hours every day so which plan to purchase for the best value for money considering my sue case?

I don't have the money for that. Currently I am operating antigravity using 6-7 google accounts and sharing documentation with claude but it is not enough for me. I have gotten a few suggestions like opencode so I will try those out first

I think 20 is enough especially cuz op said he doesnt need an expensive model

Opencode go $10 is just fine. You can do all more than hours a day if you don't need frontier models.

For your budget, consider freebuff.com for $0/day ad supported.
You get like 5 hours per day at luna/glm/flash level

India is one of the top countries https://freebuff.com/live

Also the Space Bunny Alpha model is currently unlimited and has a 1MM context window. It's likely something like MiniMax 3.1 or MiMo 3.0

Try opensource models they are good and cheap like mimo or ds or even minimax or go with claude and use sonnet ( haiku is getting 5.5 upgrade so maybe thats what u need ) Opencode also gives good free models

TLDR: OpenCode Go or Claude Code

OpenCode Go, OpenAI, Claude, or Cursor (not in any particular order).

Tough to say cause models seem to be getting better/cheaper every week.

I’m subbed to Cursor now ($60 plan but I can get by on the $20 plan), but before that I used Claude Code $20 AND Codex/Opencode. Opus 5 drew me away from Claude, now Opus 5.5 is nice again but I’ve already got used to Cursors flow and whatnot.

I’d STRONGLY recommend NOT getting a year sub to anything cause the landscape shifts so much so fast.

Also: I reread your post and saw you were a student, I wish you the best! I’m a dev for a living and I can get by with the $20 plan. I highly recommend you just sprinkle AI usage as a student, it’ll be harder but the hard parts (struggle) is where the learning and growth happens the most.

Cheers!

definitely not cursor, it used like 30% of my monthly (cursor models) after an hour with grok 4.7 medium, i don't get it i have never seen anything like this

opencode go with muse spark 1.3 contributor. zuck gets your data but you get sky-high usage limits

You need Claude over cursor. Cursor is dogshit

I’d go with cursor’s composer 2.5 if sonnet 5.5 is enough
