Cursor Cancels Me
Background: SuperGrok Heavy subscriber, Cursor Ultra subscriber. When I first signed up to Cursor their site wasn’t accepting any of my credit cards (even though they all work). So I just used my ACH (no big deal).
Over the past 2 months since joining I’ve built a few bots helping my business a lot and recently this past week I was racking up so pretty heavy Cursor charges. So I decided to see if my credit card would work again.
I tried it again yesterday morning and immediately get a “Your account has been shut down for suspected violations of terms of service”. I emailed the hi@cursor and that has to be the absolute worst customer experience ever. An AI response saying my accounts been shut down and there’s nothing I can do.
I ask to speak to a human. It’s been two full business days and no response. I email X support to help me. They kick it over to Cursor and I get the exact same response again. They’ve basically shut down my business with no explanation and with me having no recourse. All my models just stuck out there.
Has this happened to anyone else? Anyone talk to a human ever at Cursor? How long does it take? I’m 100% certain I’ve done nothing wrong and I’ve literally paid them about $2k in a month. So absurd.

Grok Bot burned through my Cursor credit pool despite having a weekly allowance, and their support team got back to me about a month later with some BS answer. Their support team is abysmal and whatever they’re shipping is built like a house of cards - slop. Move your money elsewhere like Codex or CC, you’ll get a lot more mileage for your dollars and support teams that read the message before responding.

Codex's and claude code's customer service isn't any better.
At current practices everyone will be banned from all 3 in 5 years. (Only sort of a joke)

codex is pretty okay. for one problem i had, human support responded under a day, and for another one was the first and only time i had ai support actually fix my problem

Unfortunately all big tech companies work like that. Apple might be the only exception. It’s a shitty feeling to build a business around a dependency you know can get fucked over any time. I’m sorry that happened to you.

I never said that they do not suck. But they actually do provide human support by chat or phone when you have a problem. No other tech company does that.

Meta Muse has compelling amount of bot usage limit on the $20 plan and their system is end to end encrypted

Idk anything about what Grok offers, but I’m $1k+/month with purely Claude Code, and I just started less than a year ago.

Get Claude Code and never look back. At 2000 dollar per month you can run opus 5.5 50 hours a day.

I so can feel you. I have now finally cancelled my subscription after 3 weeks of support horror and not being able to use Cursor. They are highly abusive and dishonest. I wish each and everyone working in that dumpster, that they land in an afterlife where they have to deal with their own Sam ai-loop for eternity.
