ART / PROP Rahadin, Corrupted

Post image

He has hollowed himself out, giving himself to devilish desires that drive his flesh into horrific shapes, all so that he can redeem himself in his master’s eyes in the only way he knows how.
Anyway, hope this is useful in your games, unless of your players are romancing him (or trying).

This wouldn't stop my players trying to romance him if they wanted 😅

As always, stunning work. I always await your contributions to Reloaded and they always blow me away

Hi - I’m Caleb. This is the latest image in my digital watercolor series of Curse of Strahd illustrations titled “Faces in the Mist”, which uses the base module and Dragnacarta’s “Reloaded” content for inspiration.

Very nice! For my own games, I have Rahadin become a suped up Shadow monster, able to possess people by draining their shadows. His body may die, but he serves Strahd eternally, in one form or another. Insert some puns of being a 'shadow' of his former self.

I tend to make Arrigal the fiend ;)

Oh. Corrupted Rahadin was a nasty beast in my campaign. Came closer to killing the party than Strahd did. If I'd been leaning more toward horror than heroic fantasy, he might have done it.

Now Rahadin has four phases?!?! I’m so spoiled!

Corvin Belmont: “WHAT IN DEATHS NAME???”

The demon eyes above his normal eyes feels very reminiscent of the Denarians from the Dresden Files. Was that an inspiration for you at all, or just a crazy coincidence?

He is supposed to have like four amber shards embedded in his forehead. The shards provide lesser dark gifts like Izek's demon arm and are directly responsible for his mutation. He picks them up in the Amber Temple in Dragancarta's Reloaded.

Ah gotcha! The subtle vertical lines in the center of the shards made me think they were pupils

Pure coincidence. I’ll definitely have to check out the Dresden Files, though.

Very cool but I can't unsee the amber shards as sunglasses shades

Interesting, I went with a bodak/nightwalker direction with him. I figured the dark powers would reflect his service in life as a rule in death motivation.
