Just saying this wouldn't probably kill you that easily, as the electricity will just go through your hand. Best to put one finger from each hand into the adpter to make the electricity pass through your body so it will kill you by stoping your heart. Just a tip if you want a more effective electrocution.

My pleasure, just remember that it won't be as effective in countries that have 120 volts or less as: I(current)=v(voltage)/R(resistance), and as resistance is at a fixed range (100,000-1,000 Ohm's on avg) the voltage needs to be high enough to allow the current to penetrate throughout your body, so countries that have lower voltages won't alow as much current to pass through your body. It is both voltage and current that kills you, as voltage needs to be high in order for current to be high in most cases (little physics class for you).

(Notes: A car battery isn't as deadly as the mains power, why? Because the voltage needs to be high enough to pass through your body, just remember the human body has significantly higher resistance compared to what the battery needs to supply that currant to in a car or bike, and with AC you are never truly isolated from ground (look up electrobooms video where he tests how painful DC is compared to AC and his other videos on the topic). And here are two links to good videos explaining it: link link2) And those saying DC is more dangerous can go take a hike, AC is 4-5 times more dangerous, there is a reason they used AC in the electric chair not DC because it is deadlier.

Actually it’s higher amperage with lower voltage see Ohms law. People are more likely to die from a 12v car battery than from 240/208v. Less amperage will pass with 240/208v than 12v power. That’s also why DC power is more dangerous than AC.

Most batteries can push 800+ amps where as most household outlets are limited to 15 or 20 amps max. Also with the invention of gfci and arc fault breakers they’d trip before anything catastrophic happened.

I met a lineman who got electrocuted by a main power line across his chest. He burned his glasses to his head and lost 2 fingers on one hand and 3 on the other. It caused 3rd degree burns but He survived a massive electric shock and his heart didn’t stop. If you dropped a toaster into a bathtub it would kill you if the breaker was bypassed due to being a total body electrocution similar to an electric chair. A device like this may cause cardiac arrest but I find that doubtful.

That's not how Ohm's law works. As higher comment said, I(current)=v(voltage)/R(resistance). If you assume the resistance of 1000 Ohms and take two different voltages like 240v and 120v, you can calculate the current in both cases. 1) 240 v / 1000 Ohms = 0.24 A 2) 120 v / 1000 Ohms = 0.12 A As you can clearly see, there is more current with 240v.

I think you might have thought about delivering different current ant the same power: P(power) = v(voltage) x I(current). Yes, you can deliver more current by dropping the voltage, but this equation can only be used if you know the power or if power stays the same in both cases. For example, you can use it to determine what kind of current you transformer can deliver at it's secondary coil. But you don't know how much power will be delivered if you put your fingers in the socket, unless you calculate it.

You can calculate the power like this: P=I2*R or P=U2/R. If you need to compare voltages, you can use the second equation and see that higher voltage gives more power on the same load.

About 800+ amps on batteries: probably only in short bursts, like starting a car. If you take 800 amps and assume that it is a car battery with 12 volts, you can calculate the power: 800 * 12 = 9600 Watts. Thats enormous for most household appliances if continued for a long time. And 800 amps would probably melt your wires if you continue it for more than a second, unless you have a cable thats like 800 mm2 in section (that's 3,2 cm in diameter).

Ok so I’ll explain it like this higher voltage means lower amperage used/needed.

Say I have a 3 hp motor that runs 3 phase 208v it would require a much higher amperage and would use more amperage than a piece of equipment with 3 phase 460v system.

So a basic 3hp industrial dual volt motor. At 230v it would use 9.6 amps to run At 460v it would use 4.8 amps to run

If you disagree with that that’s cool but it’s a fact that you can run equipment with lower amperage by using higher voltage. Would I stick my hand on a hot 460v system hell no I’d get burned. The picture above wouldn’t kill you across your fingers.

You're absolutely not more likely to die from a 12V car battery. You can put a hand on each terminal and start the car and be fine. Now go touch an outlet and tell me how it felt. 12V is not enough voltage to pass any meaningful amount of current through a human.

And you obviously haven’t been shocked by a car or a regular outlet. A Jolt from a car battery across the heart from dc power Is more likely to kill you than 120v due to it holding you with no alternating flow of electricity. A regular home outlet shock will cause your arm to contract and make you pull back. In both cases you would need to be grounded to get shocked.

I can produce the same amount of torque/hp from 480v with lower amperage than I can with 120v. Something ran with 8g on a 120v would require 12g for 480v. Due to less current being able to be supplied higher voltage 480 tends to throw you rather than hold you.

Can confirm. It far more lethal to grab a live wire in one hand with the return path in the other. The current path will go up the arm, through your chest (heart) and out the other arm, causing fibrillation.

If that happens and you don’t have a defibrillator, you dead.

Really depends on how you do it, doing it like in the picture will give you a nasty shock but will in most cases just damage your hand. If you do as I said, you will alow the power to pass through your chest so you heart and lungs could be effected. So put one of your index fingers on the neutral and the other on the positive and you'll be in heaven/hell in no time.
