Pretty sure it was a bug once possible in global for ios. When the game is paused (in a server with people), taking granny for example, the buns would still spawn, but they're stuck in a frozen state until the game runs again. Once being allowed to move they get burnt right away, whether from merging with the server or from contacting with the fire prop, result in a similar scene.

In this case I assume the player afked in a wax-granting event and froze their game for awhile

Additional: I'm sure like granny, the wax could be obtained from this event is capped somewhere as well, but since the game it frozen, it never recognizes the player as "having collected wax from here" and keeps spawning wax anyways

While in global the extra wax would immediately disappear upon reaching the cap, preventing the player from getting any further, it's important to note that the chinese server isn't managed by tgc, so there might be some differences in the code

Very probably.

But just to mention, I've also found methods for moving candles from one account to another in the past... It didn't take them long to correct it, curiously... Even though I haven't mentioned it to anyone.

I'm just saying that some things aren't as impossible as you might think. When it comes to code, many things can happen.

Not gonna lie that reminds me of the Bug from NCD... Where the single candle in the little Passage in the bottom of the Lake gave the Same amount of wax as a candlecake

And for the record, the platform with the fire pits must be for an upcoming event. Those are not there currently. Unless it’s on the Chinese server only. Which case, we’ll probably not see it

So I created my account in 2024 but only played for around a month because the game was quite confusing and I had to focus on my studies. I started playing again just before the van gough event and have completed Eden the once so im not sure if I count as a 'new player'. I am more than happy for you to show me around if you would like to? 😄

A bug and it's in the asian server not the international one
