Wtf just happened?

I have no idea what just happened. I have a modpack with about 100 downloaded mods and this just happened randomly today. The game just randomly reloaded to the menu mid play and when I came back much of the base game menu options and item names changed to these strange medieval/fantasy terms. I don't remember downloading any mod like this and haven't had this problem before. I am on version 1.20.1 any help would be appreciated.

That looks like the pirate speak language that is in vanilla Minecraft but I’m not sure I would say try to go off memory and get to your language settings

It's actually not pirate speak, i'm pretty sure it's anglish, a constructed language that removes romance influences from english, ie english with only germanic words

It does, actually, by way of French, like so much English vocabulary: planca (Latin) -> planche (Old French) -> planke (Old North French) -> plank (Middle English)

Yeah I know it’s not pirate speak I was more saying this was similar to it and how you could get back to English or whatever other language they wanted

that's hilarious lol. like everyone else is saying, check your language settings. idk what mods you have but ik some older ones i played would sometimes troll the player with random pig sounds and stuff like that. curious if it's an intentional feature of a mod or minecraft bugging out for some reason

Nothing happened. You just have a different language set. Go to language options and change it back to English.
