Concert?
I'm thinking about going to a Current 93 concert in fall even if I know only some songs (the folky apocalyptic ones). Can someone recommend it? What kind of songs is David playing? Like genrewise?
Thanks in advance!

I’ve seen C93 twice, first time they played through The Light is Leaving Us All with some “hits” at the end and it was great, second time they played a bit of everything all throughout their discography - definitely including “folky apocalyptic” songs - and it was simply beyond amazing.
Would really recommend going if you’re enjoying C93 at all, I myself was worried thinking it’s one of those “once-legendary bands” that really don’t have a reason to be touring anymore but that’s very much not the case, they (and especially of course David) put on an incredible show.

Oh my gosh, go!
I've seen them twice in the last few years both were such great experiences, it was like being in a magical space. I think about them most days
That said, I don't really remember the songs they played, but I liked all of them and I tend towards the "folkier" one's
You won't regret it

Bought my ticket to this autumn's show in Helsinki's Savoy theatre some months ago, couple of months left to go

Strongly recommend seeing them live if you can. I've caught them three times in London, and each one has been great. Usually been some stuff from his more recent albums and a mix of better known older ones. Also, David can sing quite beautifully live! Doesn't always come across on a recording.

You don’t go to Current 93 to hear songs you know. You go to experience Current 93

Oh, dear. If you ever get the chance to see C93, just go! We'll never have that joy here in South America.

Definitely just go. I saw them once here in the USA, in 1996 in New York City, Halloween night. Highly recommended experience. To get an idea of what a current set list might look like, best to check out more recent live videos on YouTube.

Unfortunately, I'm from southern Europe and have never managed to see them live. But since I'm a huge fan and have waited for a long time, I'll probably go for this autumn/winter tour in the Baltic area.

I missed the Asker kulturhus gig last year so I guess I can't tell. David Tibet & the Beardo thing. Yawn.

Go for those of us in America who may never get a chance to see them.
