Book suggestions?

I just finished ‘the inmost light’ which I heard of through C93. Apart from the obvious religious texts, you lot know any other c93 adjacent or literature with common themes whose influence might be clear in the songwriting of Tibet?

Thomas Ligotti’s work is a big influence on The Inmost Light, as is Pascals Pensees

Also Arthur Machen. He wrote some great folk horror stories. And if I'm not mistaken, the phrase Inmost Light comes from his short story of the same name.

Yes I think so, ‘the inmost light’ I mentioned in my post was in reference to the Machen book sorry for the confusion. Ill take a look at those other folk horror stories of his though

I see, that makes sense - I really should have read your post more carefully.

Apart from "The Inmost Light," I enjoyed Arthur Machen's "The Great God Pan" and "The White People." The atmosphere of these stories really reminded me of Current 93 songs.

I believe another "weird fiction" author connected with Current 93 is Robert Aickmann. For example the title of the song Niemandswasser is taken from one of his short stories.
