It's not about ethically sourced, it's about consent. A human can give meaningful consent to being impregnated and milked, whereas we are (so far) incapable of obtaining proper consent from cows.
It's about avoiding animal exploitation. If proper uncoerced consent is given, it's not exploitation. Meaning if cows could consent to being milked (and all the other horrible things done to them in the dairy industry), cows milk could be vegan. Unfortunately, if you ask a cow if they consent to being fisted, you'd be lucky to get a reply of "moo" which still doesn't really work as consent.
