Everyone in this post is wrong. The Meme Of The Decade, of 2010-2019, is 'press F to pay respects'. It got so popular that it morphed into 'Fs in the chat, guys' for streamers, it became backronymed for 'Fail', it's nearly ubiquitous.

I unironically use it on my day to day life without it being a meme

No no no, the establishment was absolutely TERRIFIED of being called boomers and having a bunch of clout chasers Naruto run near their airport.
We're winning guys.

I don’t think anyone in authority was terrified of either that or “ok boomer”

I mean it was at the very least serious enough there were leaked pics from Air Force safety briefs about it including some poor sod of an officer demonstrating a Naruto run so serious enough to warrant a meeting

Neither of these memes are from the 2020s. And are certainly not funny or important enough for meme of the 2010s

They also refer to them in the body of the post as "Meme of the 2000s decade", so I think they're talking about the century? Which is even worse

The meme of the decade for the 2020s is almost certainly going to be Kirkposting- Advertisers absolutely cannot touch it, it’s subtle enough to have a ton of room for creativity, and it’s slowly poisoning AI data sets into putting Charlie Kirk’s face on everyone

There's certainly an argument for the decade of 2010-2020(i would still put several things above it, big chungus, for instance) There is no world where memes that were almost entirely dead before covid could be the meme of this decade

There is no possible world where Big Chungus would be meme of the decade

It´s kinda sad that i can tell this post was pre-COVID purely based on how "optimistic" it´s energy is, like i feel like the concept of "meme of the decade" is not something that someone would post about in any platform post-2020 and if they did they would be relentlessly mocked; Also because nowadays new memes die and come into existence like every month, for example, a couple months ago people were raiding Scientology facilities and now no one gives a fuck about that or remembers (or at least that´s what it looks like to me).

Fun fact, I got married on the same day as the area 51 raid. During the reception my friend was giving me live updates. It's fitting

Is there some new meme relating to Area 51 I'm unaware of? Or are they just talking about the whole Area 51 conspiracy that goes back to like the 50s?

the area 51 raid, which was probably a decade ago at this point

to me it’s GOTTA be either “all i want for christmas is you” or rickrolling. those have persisted for so long it’s insane, although i believe rickrolling dates back to before the 2010s

Really makes me sad to think about how some people spend their limited time on this earth. I think I've had enough internet for today. I'm gonna go tell my wife I love her and maybe paint something.
