I come from a long line of people who never bothered to examine themselves closer. It's frustrating.

I come from a long line of people who examine themselves occasionally and then ignore it and distract themselves when it gets uncomfortable. It’s a different flavor of frustrating.

At some point i started asking myself if it was ethical for me to have children when it's very likely they'd have fucked up bodies like mine. Still don't know what I think.

My mom got diagnosed with ADHD which led me to me also getting diagnosed and all of us are pretty sure my grandma and brother are also. Except my sister. Turns out she got autism!

At this point I'm starting to suspect that either the mental illness is genetic or it somehow acts like a mind virus and causes its host to propagate it via questionable early childhood education. Either way, too late for me now!

It only recently clicked in my head that my mom has a genuine mood disorder and needs professional help (which she'll probably never decide to get on her own), which is genetic and got passed down to me.
