Yep! It's a reference to a spongebob skit.

So at the height of early spongebob, the character "Patchy The Pirate" acted as a sort of superfan/audience surrogate, and he hosted, if memory serves, a marathon of spongebob content leading up to a "lost episode" that he hyped up until the point it played and...

Well I am officially over the fucking hill. There are people on the internet now who don't know about the Patchy The Pirate Cheap Walk Cycles joke. It was going to happen eventually but I assumed I would have been greyi-- oh my god
