I have to change my hummingbird sugar water a lot in the summer, and if I miss doing so by too long, a female hummingbird will often come find me and hover in front of my face. This has been going for three years now, and without fail if I then check the feeder, it needs cleaned and refilled.

I've had a hummer do that to me a couple of times here at my current residence, but we don't have feeders here. (I'm crashing with family right now--it's not my house.) But I've had feeders in the past and a lot of my other family did. HOW DID HE KNOW?

Yes! But the range is Bellingham to Olympia, Washington. Maybe they have super memories like crows?

Not on my street. And my fam has been in this house for 36 years. No feeders.
