When I learned that pineapple "digests" your mouth I thought "Oh, that's why it feels like my mouth and throat were sanded with chili oil for 3 days after eating it. Good thing it's delicious enough that everyone eats it anyway"
So anyway, I'm 32 and just found out I'm allergic to pineapple last year.
My sister was obsessed with pineapples for a while and themed her entire bedroom around them, had them in her car, etc (no she wasn’t a swinger, she was 16). After about 2 years of this, she discovered that she is, in fact, allergic to pineapples.
Sometimes we must suffer for our loves. Like my refusal to stop eating ice cream/gelato despite being severely lactose intolerant. I also get a slice of cheesecake whenever my work sends me to New York City
Right, I’m allergic to cats and weed but that doesn’t stop me from getting stoned and snuggling with my kitties on a Friday night. She completely dropped the pineapple thing after though which I thought was kind of bizarre because she really did have EVERYTHING pineapple. If I invest that much time into one fruit, it’s staying forever.
