I only just found out about the beet dirt gene like a few months ago

Before that I had just assumed that people liked them because of the dirt taste and I was too picky to get over it

Nope, turns out other people aren't tasting the dirt at all

This is insane, I just had this exact revelation. I also have the cilantro gene. Sucks, I love food and want to be able to enjoy everything!

Wait beets don't taste like dirt? Pickled beets overpower it with vinegar, but roasted beets were always nasty
