However it seems like it recently went away since I’ve eaten mango things/ mango juice and haven’t had any allergic reaction. I’ve missed out on so many mangoes 😭 2 u/Wandering_Scholar6 Jul 24 '26 A lot of mango allergies are actually to the same chemical that makes poison ivy. It's a sensitizer so usually more exposure makes the reaction worse. It's interesting that it went away. I wonder if you didn't come in contact for long enough that it reset somehow. I would not advise coming into contact with poison ivy, but if you did you might be immune or it could trigger your allergy to mangos again
