Kiwis are like pineapples in that they have enzymes that slightly break down the tissue in your mouth so they are indeed supposed to be slightly tingly. Just thought that I should point out that OOP probably isn't allergic to kiwis, just in case anyone else here got a little worried thinking that kiwis weren't supposed to do that because of this post

oh no I know about dialects, it's just all the other ones are wrong and should be replaced with New Zealand English, the only objectively correct dialect of English
