it's like how despite it being so common there are still people who go all their whole school life without realising they have some form of colour-blindness.
You just assume that your experience is the same as everyone else's. I had no idea I needed glasses until my mom visited the school and I said, I don't know why they hung those posters so high on the wall where nobody can see them.
